I forgot, Super Bowl 5. No need to answer that... please.
Till last year, when was the last time the Colts organization won something?
I forgot, Super Bowl 5. No need to answer that... please.
I was a freshman in college for the first one. Good times, and my boy Duane Thomas last game as a Cowboy![]()
I like the signing. He has something to prove to the NFL. Hopefully, he learns from his up and 8 game suspension and tears it up.
Tank Johnson is an average defensive tackle. Tank played in the Super Bowl, but he is not the reason the Bears got there. Tommie Harris's injury was a big loss for the Bears defense. You could see the difference between the Bear's Tommie Harris and Tank Johnson in the Super Bowl. They were much weaker in the middle.
I think the Bears used Tank's lawless reputation to cut him, but the real reason is that he could not fill his role on the defensive unit. Money-wise it's a low risk move. The real risk the Cowboys are gambling with is the chemistry and cohesion of an already at risk (injuries) defensive unit. I don't think Tank Johnson's talent level is worth that risk for the Cowboys. Remember, Tank only played in the Super Bowl because a judge gave him permission to leave the state.
Suspension is over, he will play next week against the G-Men.

yes
thank you. Cowboys fans thinking they're getting an elite DT are sadly mistaken. He's a decent pickup considering they really need another DT, but he's not going to be a huge playmaker. Of course all the Cowboys reall need is a little more stability and Tank can provide that.
I hope Tank sticks a "gat" in his pants and just starts shooting away, like that guy from "The Last Boy Scout".
It would provide some entertainment.
I'll take 8.5 sacks in his last 30 games, with SB experience. Maybe he's not a top 10 guy, but how many other teams have a defensive player his caliber coming in fresh at this point of the season? He's a better option than Jay Ratliff.
I just went through this whole thread and I must have missed that part.Cowboys fans thinking they're getting an elite DT are sadly mistaken
I didn't realize this thread summarized the opinions of all Cowboys fans worldwide.
That is my point..it doesn't but you were implying all Cowboys fans, of which those in this thread would be included.
I don't think any of us(you included) think that he is going to come in and start playing like Albert Haynesworth or anything like that. But he will be an asset in our d-line rotation and provide more depth.
