Maybe so... but for right now...
Raiders > Broncos
Can't really argue that.
What was that again????
The Cardinals will make the playoffs.
Hmmm, 152 passing yards, 36 rushing yards, no passing TDs(one rushing), 2 INTs in his last two games.
He looks like a low-end QB right now.
I should have expected this thread to get bumped tonight. Cowardly as . It's not like anybody says about him after the ans win (something he's done alot more than Cutler thus far in their careers).
All VY can do is hit his receivers directly in the hands. It's up to them to catch it, something they did very little of tonight.
True, they do drop a lot of balls but he also needs to work on his accuracy. His throws make some of those catches harder than they should be.
That would be incorrect. I bumped this on the 4th when he was horrible in his last two games and the ans still won them both.
Both QB's looked damn good tonight. VInce has the worst WR corp in the league. Truly pathetic, but he does miss some open WR's from time to time. But he more than makes up for it in every other aspect of his game. Broncos should have sacked his ass at least 3 or 4 times tonight, he's special.
Plus, no one bumped it when Kerry Collins came in and "just won" two games for the ans this year. You know, because Collins, "just wins" games for whomever he plays for.

What two games did Kerry Collins win? He lost a game that the ans should have won against the Bucs because of his utter inability to lead scoring drives, and then nearly lost one the next week by leading his team to constant 3-and-outs the entire 4th quarter, allowing Houston to make an amazing comeback, and almost win. He had to have his ass saved by the kicker after blowing a 25 pt lead in the 4th. VY does the exact opposite. He is the one LEADING the 25 pt comebacks in the 4th. Major difference between the two...
My mistake, I thought the ans won the game against the Bucs, VY must not have done well enough before he got hurt.
He still won the game against the Texans though, and as I recall, they don't have Collins in on kickoff return team to recover all of the Texans onside attempts.
Seriously though, both QB's looked really good last night and had VY's receivers not blown then it would have been a much closer game. VY still needs to get more accurate and quit throwing the ball like a woman, but if you take away the two late int's from his game last night then it looked fairly flawless.
Cutler finally strung together the complete game as well. He's been so close from putting it all there for now his first full season as an NFL qb, so we'll see if he can keep doing it now.
Both are much better then that bag from USC though.
VY got hurt rather early. There is only so much you can do in 2 quarters of play, especially considering he does his best work in the 4th quarter, which is what distinguishes the good QB's from the great QB's.
Onside kicks did not lead to their huge comeback. It's not like every single possession was from on onside kick. I was watching the game and Collins was completely unable to do anything except lead his teams on 3-and-outs and meaningless drives that got them nowhere.
Cutler also has the great, consistent running system of Mike Shanahan to take the pressure off of him, as well as some solid recievers. VY pretty much has to do everything himself as no one else on his offense can consistently give him support.
hmmm?on these boards I keep hearing this talk about how VY had Lendale White, the most badass RB to ever live.
The guy is good, but still young and has his inconsistencies. But I think him and VY are going to be a feared combo for years to come. They just need a good young reciever, like Matt Jones.
yeah he's not fat or lazy.
Never said he wasn't.
i dont think i would put the phrase "good young receiver" anywhere near the name Matt Jones. i think he's more of a "over-hyped first round flop."
i just wanted to call him fat in case jgw was around.
Matt Jones has tremendous potential. The reason he isn't playing has nothing to do with his abilities, it's because Jack Del Rio has personal issues with Jones that stem from the same type of issues with Byron Leftwich.
Matt Jones is by far the best WR on the Jaguars but Del Rio won't play him simply to prove a point. If Jones leaves after this season, he will have a BREAKOUT year with whoever he goes to next year. Guaranteed.
I don't think you've seen the guy play much then. I can't blame you, as mono already went into detail about the whole Jack Del Rio thing. The guy is a gifted reciever. He has good hands, hes fast, and hes tall. Those are the three most important things for a reciever to have, and he has em all.
