Who is Dallas' best player?

Dirk is still the man on the team. They go as far as he takes them. I think he's talented enough to take them all the way even if he hasn't proven it yet.

Dirk though Kidd is right there with him. They compliment each other perfectly it seems. I can't believe how well the chemistry is right now with Kidd's passing but I've seen Terry have success in the past with getting players involved with simple passes so put in a much better passer and the offense is fluid. Kidd is not effective without the shooters and the shooters are not as effective without Kidd.

Kidd has definitely lifted this team. I have to keep reminding myself that it was the Grizz and T-Pups, but here's something that is heartening: against Memphis, we jumped out to that huge lead, they made a run and cut the lead to 7, Kidd came back into the game and we didn't just hang on for the win, he helped turn it into a blowout again.

Against Minny, he helped ignite that push out of the locker room in the 3rd quarter to build up a 12-point lead, and then when he went out, they got back into it. When he came back into the game with 7 minutes left and it was tied, we didn't just win, he dominated and we turned it into a blowout. The final score is deceptive, it was nip and tuck for 41 minutes. Part of this team's problems have been executing down the stretch in the fourth quarter.

Terry has lifted this team as well. He is playing unbelievably well beside Kidd. Our starters were unbelievable but we need some help from the bench.

Terry had the best plus/minus tonight of anybody, +28

And I love watching him get a full-court bounce pass from Kidd for the easy layup ahead of the other team in transition.

"Have you watched the Mavs? Who's running with Kidd on that team other than Howard? Dirk is slow. Erick Dampier is slow. Terry doesn't go within 20 feet of the basket. Stack stopped running five years ago. Who's left?"

Dirk is the key. No question about it. Kidd compliments him well, but Dirk will be the main focus of opposing defenses still.
