So what is the best possible matchup for Dallas in round 1? New Orleans?

Houston is playing like crap lately, but I doubt they fall to #7 since they are 3 games ahead in the loss column.

The irony of all this is the Spurs, Suns, and Mavs will all share the same demise.

Spurs - even year and can't repeat
    Mavs - perennial chokers
Suns - can never play good enough defense to get them over the hump

NOH or LAL will come out of the WC and then get spanked by BOS in the Finals. Book it.

Little early to proclaim backness. This is really your first good game with the K-dawg. Give it a little more time, cause you aint gona be running like that in the playoffs, take it from a suns fan, we know. You are built most similar to the 05-06 Suns, and they long reason they got were they did was because of insane grit and heart. It can still come together, but don’t wet you panties yet!
Built like the 05-06 Suns, except for the fact that we have 3 rotation players 6'11" and above, can rebound the rock, and play at least some sembelence of defense.

But yeah. Apples to apples, right?

    Much better, right?
Actually, I'm not too much of a grammar Nazi. But in that instance it just magnified a post that was already idiotic on the substantive level.

A tip--when you've already nailed down bad substance, don't call attention to it with bad form.

I would love, repeat: LOVE, to end up the #8 with NO as the #1 and Utah/Houston as the 4 and 5.

That's my dream. Avoid SAS/LA/PHX until the WCF.

LAL has played terrible lately, and I will be willing to bet you my sig. for a month that if the Spurs meet the Lakers, the Spurs will win that series.

I don't know about the Spurs winning it all (Boston looks scary, not gonna lie) but I really think the Lakers lack the defensive discipline to come out of the west. Yes, Bynum and Ariza are injured, but I really don't think the Farmar's and vujacic's of the world will be what gets them over the hump.

I also think the Suns D is better than that of LAL.

Is this a message board or a doctoral thesis? I'd say fragments are a pretty damn well established convention, no? Failing to write coherently, on the other hand, isn't.

Spurs beat the Lakers in 5 games in a series. "Book" that. And take it to the bank. And various other cliches.

Tell you what, we'll beat LA and PHX, you guys can upset NO and UTAH (steal a home game from utah and that series is over!)

Alright, first off Dirk plays juuuuuust about as short as a 6'11'' man possible can, and KT plays just as big as Little-Dampeir(ya were missing him in the playoffs - off). The 05-06 suns actually played fantastic defense (little known fact). You are built like them because you NEED transition points. Your half court offense is shameful, and you are primarily a jump shooting team.

Yeah, the point I was trying to get across there was really unclear.

If you were being sarcastic in the first place, forget I said anything. Too many straight up dumb asses around here to know the difference.

The current Laker squad minus Bynum has no chance against the Spurs. Spurs in 5 or 6, easily.

BUT, if Bynum gets back with 3-4 games left in the regular season and the Lakers can avoid the Spurs until the WCF it COMPLETELY changes the game. He plugs up so many holes the Lakers have right now, defense+rebounding are drastically improved with him on the floor. Just like how the Laker offense improves with Pau's presence.

The Suns were an abortion on defense. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Plus, that team's success was predicated entirely on the 3 ball. This Mavs team is pretty tastic with the 3 ball, for the most part.

Frankly, the teams couldn't be more different.

    Dirk is in uniform...
Yeah, it was amazing. They always show them in the tunnel right before they take the court. I was amazed to see him in warmups. The crowd was great tonight, they were on time, which may have had more to do with the late start, and they were loud. It helped that GS played like ass.

Houston. Houston. Houston. I'll take them in a 2 vs 7 matchup. It's still not assured that we're getting in. GS should finish 5-2, which means we gotta win three more games. We have two against the Sonics, the Jazz are a ty road team, and we should be able to get the roadie against the Blazers. We play the Hornets in the season finale and they might have clinched their seed and have nothing to play for. We need to realistically win 3 more to get in.

    terry for 33333333333333333!

i love how the mavs are beating the warriors at their own game.

    awesome

15-0 on fastbreak pts..........kidd with 8 dimes already!
Nobody should be afraid to run with the Dubs. Dallas lost last year because they slowed the game down and refused to run with GS.

a 16 point lead on the Warriors can vanish in 2 minutes. I think the Mavs will go back to ISO in the second half, and Warriors will get their fastbreak points and win.
How'd that work out for you?

hey just trying to cheer on the Warriors. But mavs played great, helps that Warriors can't play defense for . Mavs have a tough road schedule coming up, will be interesting to see how they do in those games.

Are you guys really that afraid of drawing us in a 1/8 matchup, or is it just schadenfreude at us possibly winding up in the lottery?
