the other team would have to have 96 minutes instead of 48 minutes
    to score 140 points

    Most points, game
    186-Detroit at Denver, December 13, 1983 (3 OT)

    Most points, both teams, game
    370-Detroit (186) at Denver (184), December 13, 1983 (3 OT)

I wonder if any team will ever score 200 points in a game? It would likely require at least 3 or 4 OTs.

    That's quite a turnaround from a 168-116 beatdown.

The thing that really impressed me with the game tonight was that the Sonics had NOTHING to play for except pride and the joy of winning - yet they played like it was a championship game. That young team is going to be good once they get a little more experience. And Kevin Durant was just amazing to watch!

Remember a few weeks back when the Nuggets kicked the out of the Sonics? Kevin Durant's quote was that the sonics specifically wanted to spoil the Nuggets playoff hopes. I haven't been too impressed with KD this year, but you're right, showing that kind of pride in what could have been a meaningless game boads well for his future.

Oh and if it's any consolation to Nug fans, I'm sure next year SI and ESPN will pick you as le contenders (again). Of course this won't actually happen, but it's nice to be foolishly hyped every year, huh? Or maybe the high expectations make things worse- I don't know? In conclusion, the Nuggets are the biggest sucks to have ever sucked.

The Nuggets look great on paper. I am still confused how a team can get scored on so much have the defensive player of the year. Makes no sense. I can see every team win a first round series in the West except Nuggets. Thats if they make it. They don't have a leader.

Because Camby is a total and complete fraud. He actually stayed healthy this year, but even so. All he does for D is gamble on blocks. Most people are stupid enough to consider that good defense. In actuality it's the worst kind of defense a center could possibly play.

You forgot the refereeing and the defensive rules of the early 1980's. Since that's not happening, I can't see it EVER happening.

Innacurate. It took the Nuggets loss (or a Spurs win over the Jazz, ehem which didn't happen) to mathematically clinch a playoff spot. Anyways...thank to P.J., KD, Greenie, and the entire Sonics cast for that.
