Why is anyone surprised about Charlie Gibson and ABC New's turn to the right after last nights hit job on the Democratic candidates, I've been telling you that ABC is Reich-wing news for a long, long, time

    Obama's reaction...

ABC Hosts Heckled After Debate: "The Crowd Is Turning On Me"
    The Huffington Post | April 16, 2008 10:17 PM

Reflecting what seemed to be the main consensus of the night - that ABC botched this debate, big time - Charlie Gibson tells the crowd there will be one more, superfluous commercial break of the night and is subsequently jeered.

"OH..." he declares, hands raised in defense. "The crowd is turning on me, the crowd is turning on me."

Visitors to ABC's site weren't much kinder. Here's a sampling on page 1:

"...This is AWFUL. Thank goodness for Jon Stewart and Comedy Central. He does a better job of interviewing and asking relevant questions of his guests in 5 minutes than these 2 yahoos have in more than an hour. ABC should be ashamed. George should be ashamed. Charlie should be ashamed. This isn't a debate. This is a hit job."
    Huff

Yes ABC News thought it was more important to ask the candidates their feelings about flying the flag and wearing lapel pins than their thoughts about health-care and the housing crisis, jobs and Iraq, that is what passes as legit reporting by the corporate M$M...

    Well, well, well.

The shoe's on the other foot for a change. So ABC has finally asked Obama a few tough questions. They've been doing it to Hillary for a little while now. And you don't like it, do you? Not used to it? I don't see how you would be, since the American news media is predominantly (but not totally) liberal.

Now you know how we conservatives feel.

i am laughing at your unfortunate ass this whole time and to people like you.

for once it seemed like the country was for sure going to elect a democrat, but now the democrats are getting the "sniveling" questions bush, reagan, nixon were subject to.

the crawford ranch criticism, fake NG do ents, Bush's DUI, bush not knowing the ambassador of the Georgia Republic by name, Herbert Walker not knowing how to purchase socks like regular people, Bush Sr looking at his watch during his debates, etc. All the pointless repubs used to get lombasted with have now come home to roost for Obama...

Yeah, you may have a point. Obama may have been asked some pretty trivial questions, but he's not mad that he was served his own medicine. He's mad he couldn't awnser the questions on capital gains tax correctly.

Even bush could awnser that one, and got that one right in 2000.

    Obama, is empty promises.

What's the point of talking about the real issues anyway if they have the same platform.

becuase in the end, it will come back to experience vs hope.

yeah, those are the real issues.

    blow me.

Yeah lets get to the real issues, like the differences between Barrack and Hillary.

Oh wait, that's actually just Experience vs Change.

    Wow, substantive.

define why obama's change is different to hillary's first.
....16 month timetable for withdrawal from Iraq forcing Iraqi leaders to get their together...

....Obama's message has been inspirational, Hillary's message divisive...

...Obama has promised to investigate the Bush administration...

....Obama will bring audits back to unbridled military spending and contracts...

...Obama will appoint real Generals who aren't shills protecting their jobs....

and finally,....Do you really want Bill Clinton as first man?

    More from the debates..

    ABC transcript:

"And, Senator Obama, I want to do one more question, which goes to the basic issue of electability. And it is a question raised by a voter in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, a woman by the name of Nash McCabe."
Who is Nash McCabe anyway and did ABC News just happen to stumble upon her? Don't make any bets...

How can I vote for a president who won’t wear a flag pin?" NASH McCABE, unemployed clerk-typist.

    Ny Times

Surprise, surprise, surprise, over 12 million people in PA yet two major news outlets managed to "stumble upon" the same woman. There's no way that's a coincidence. ABC went looking for her. They WANTED that question...

This isn't about Obama, who polls show won lasts night 'debate' and I use the words very loosely in this case in this day and age of so many pressing critical issues, i.e. the economy, the environment, the health care crisis, the erosion of civil rights and trashing of the Cons ution, etc. etc. needing the full attention of the American People, I found this exercise by ABC to be a national disgrace. Seriously, flag lapel pins, the perception of whether some people are bitter or not...

What came through to me was the total disconnect of the moderators from reality, in truth I believe their biggest concern was whether people making well over a hundred thousand and probably closer to two hundred thousand would have a tax increase. The moderators seemed intent on doing their best to blur both candidates well stated intentions on this issue in order to hurt their chances in the general election. In the final analysis, I believe the American People are waking up and the en y that took the biggest hit last night regarding credibility and integrity was ABC.
