This game convinced me that this series belongs to the Spurs. Coming back from a 16 point deficit to win in double OT has to be a huge confidence builder. Spurs in 6.

Spurs got better as the get went on. That is a good sign, for those keeping score at home.

The Suns ARE every bit as good as the Spurs this year...the Spurs just refused to lose this game. I don't know if my heart can take 6 more games of this .

This isn't over. We won the battle on our home court...It's going to take a better effort for the full 48 to win the war.

But I was so pleased with the guts it took to get this first one.

suns just didn't have enough heart to close out a long, tedious intense game. steve nash made an amazing clutch shot but it wasn't enough. it's obvious that the spurs have the mental edge. i think at this point, it's their series to lose.

The Suns had this game. It was theirs to lose.

And they lost. If they hope to advance past this series, they need to figure out how to finish against the Spurs.

What an epic series this is going to be. The Suns played great but the Spurs just simply refused to lose.

Me neither! I still can't figured out how the you allow Finley take a 3 pointer to tie the game. Up 3 with 20 seconds left FOUL FOUL make him shoot 2 free throws.

Agree. Duncan refused to let this one get away. A ing 3!!! He wants the repeat bad.

I thought it was pretty cool when timmy was on the bench on the time out and called in the troops...they responded like it was pop calling em in. He really has the whole team following. Not that it was ever in question.

I agree with you. I just hope that the Suns front office doesn't find out about the Top Secret magnetized ball that they switched in for the Spurs final possession in the first OT. How else could Duncan hit that 3?

The Suns have more talent than the Spurs EVERY year. Their coaching always did them in.

This year, the coaching philosophy is more reasonable, thanks to Shaq. So now the question will be their heart and smarts.

Spurs could have in given up, folded, like a weaker mental team, because the 1st half was not looking good at all, thinking "we can't match up to these guys with Shaq now"

but they're in' champs and they know it.

The Suns snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory.
