We would move a patient from the bed to our stretcher or lift the strether up from a low position if they could stand pivot and sit back down. Lift stretcher into anmbulance...take out strecher from ambulance and move bed, etc. And that does not include lifting a strecther with a patient on it up 2 or 3 stairs, that happens often.
The biggest person I have had to transport was about 630lbs.

Working in the ICU I participated in a lot of lifting, but I think the max. I saw was about 500lbs! I never understood people who say they don't need to lose weight because their blood pressure is fine.......how about when it takes 6 people to get you on a bedpan, do you need to lose some weight then?!

Yes I remember. When is your re-test? Everyone drinks alcohol anyway (I am NOT condoning this); it's really only a problem if your liver function is already impaired.

i get re tested soon. they say it takes 8 weeks for TB to become active and become pronounced in your system.
