My goodness, the Nuggets shoot within the first 6 seconds of a possession. I don't know why teams don't quadruple the guy who catches the first pass after going up the court -- he's the only one who's going to shoot it.

I'm listening to the Lakers announcers, and they are actually really objective so far. They called that foul on Kobe, "Kobe with a hip check on Iverson as he drives in" even as the crowd was booing and Phil was highly upset by the foul.
Too bad the laker fans aren't as objective.

Difficult to believe that either team is a contender with the kind of defense on display. Especially the perimeter D on both sides (Kobe/Fisher/Vujacic/Farmar and Iverson/Carter/Smith) is among the weakest in the conference. Can you imagine either of them posing a serious challenge to Boston?
That said, the Lakers' offense is a well-oiled machine while Denver is streaky and uncoordinated. Lakers win this in 5, at worst 6 games.
Odom and Gasol is the best frontcourt in the NBA.

I'm really impressed with Gasol, both his scoring and passing. He's been the MVP of this game by a wide margin.
I think Odom is MVP of the game so far. He's been extremely good.
Lakers have trouble with the Zone on the 2nd unit. Bynum was the zonebuster before.
Kobe has layed an egg in the 1st half. Gasol and Odom are tearing the Nuggets interior defense to shreds.
If the Lakers can stop ing jacking 3's this game is over.

Neither Ai or Kobe has done much to help their teams. If AI would hit freethrows then it would a different story
It's too bad the Lakers get an easy road to the WCF compared to the Spurs. The Lakers earned it though.

Sasha's D is underrated. He's feisty and irritates the out of guys and he has that sissy face.
I've never seen anybody that gets irritated by a Defender as much as the guys the Machine guards. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets punched during the Playoffs.
would be nice if Gasol wasn;t camping in the lane. I figured it would be Kobe who would get the bullcrap calls but i guess its Gasol who is the new posterboy in LA for getting away with stuff
It's good but not as good as the Celtics frontcourt I think. When Bynum comes back (2nd Round or WCF), I think it's the best frontcourt.
Both teams played ok but neither team have played close to their potential.
2nd half will either be close or a Lakers blowout

Good take Nuggets Fan, neither team dominated, both had awful stretches. Farmar and Kobe were particularly bad while the Denver bench has been extremely good.
