this is actually pretty decent. much better than the crap they've used the past few years
Def Leppard with Tim McGraw, "Nine Lives". Congratulations, ESPN. This year you did not fail.
this is actually pretty decent. much better than the crap they've used the past few years
Def Leppard with Tim McGraw is a massive, massive fail.
Not compared to "Let's get it started!" and "Right now!" This may as well have won a ing grammy compared to the filth ESPN has used in the past.
Agreed. At least Faith Hill doing Joan Jett is sexy. , it even sounds sexy.
Full version of this song is pretty kick ass. Too bad the album isn't out yet (or tabs)
So it's only the third worst dreck ABC has put out for basketball. Not really a ringing endorsement. Since they are owned by Disney, we should probably be counting our blessings that the NBA music isn't Hannah Montana.
Maybe it's bad to you, but I'm betting you're listening to Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, or some other filth right now aren't you.
I wouldn't go saying that if you like Def Leppard, that's a ringing endorsement of your musically taste.
What has nine arms and sucks balls? Def Leppard![]()
Michael Wilbon, Jon Barry and Stuart Scott = WHY?????
I know this has been discused numerous times but seeing the 2 go head to head today really shows how bad their NBA coverage in studio is for ESPN/ABC
At this very second I'm listening to Chris Cornell. Next song on the playlist is Pink Floyd. However, if I were to start a thread sucking on the nuts of some money-driven network created collaboration of Tim McGraw and Def Leppard, I don't think I'd dare to question the musical taste of others.![]()
I have better taste in music than over half the people on this board. Kill yourself.
What ABC put these dudes in the studio and had the song specifically recorded for them? Wow, you're dumb. It's a single from Def Leppard's new album, not an ABC-produced promo song. I guess any time artists collaborate, it's some corporate experiment gone wrong isn't it.
Another thread killed by idiots.
It's decent...In general it's nice to see country music tryin' put forth a little edge.
I'm sure you do, you're right on point about this song. You're right, Def Leppard screams creativity and originality.
The song sucks. My wife, who loves T. Mcgraw, laughed at how bad it was today. I'd rather listen to someone fart on a snare drum than that crap.
So there's nothing original about using a decent rock song instead of some played out, piece of hip hop song that makes everyone mute their TV for NBA theme music? You don't like the song, we got it, but there's millions of people who disagree with you about Def Leppard. The nail that sticks up. . .
The song's not bad. It's certainly far better than previous years (e.g., Rob Thomas).
Ehhh...I didn't mind the Rob Thomas one they used in '05.
Oh, so popularity=good? Hannah Montana here we come. Def Leppard was also popular due to the teenage female demographic. Plus you, apparently.
At least you admitted it was "decent", which last I checked does not equal "good".
BTW, the thread wasn't "killed by idiots", it was crushed by the force of its own lameness.
ABC once again gives us a convincing argument as to why they shouldn't have the playoffs on their channel.
Def Leppard is not decent rock, it's pop-rock. Steve Clark is rolling over in his grave. I think we know where you stand on music. You're quoting Styx in your sig and referring to them as a great American rock band. Maybe we can get Carrie Underwood and Styx together to do a song, or Boston and Brooks and Dunn!! No wait, Journey and Toby Keith.
It's all in good fun.![]()
Are you kidding me?
"9 LIVES 9 LIVES BLAH BLAH BLAH"
You couldn't have picked a worse song for basketball. The only saving grace of ABC/ESPN is that they usually play Hotel California for Laker home games at some point.
Tesh's NBA theme > Leppard/McGraw. The NBA should just lease the rights to that song so it's played regardless of network.
