    Manu: "Hmm..."
Journo1: "Hey Manu, how do you feel about winning this award?"
MG: "Me no comprende. No English."
Journo1: "What? You've been here for 6 years. We interviewed you plenty of times in English"
MG: "No, no. Me no Inglish."
Journo2: "WTF? Ok then, I speak Spanish, can I ask you what you think about it in Spanish?"
MG: "Me no Spanish. Me Italian"
    Journo3: "I speak Italian..."
MG: "I'm late for practice, see you later"

Congrats Manu. But we know that you only care about this one:

Hmm this won't fit in my trophy closet because I'm saving room for the next ring so I wonder how much I could sell this for off of ebay.

By the way it looks like a nice vehicle. I thought it was funny Manu looked more interested in the new vehicle .

To be fair to the sixth man nod, Manu probably isn't interested in most of the individual honors, he's just one of those completely team oriented individuals.
(although I'm pretty sure he'd make a mild exception for the MVP award)

Congrats, Manu. The fact that he's good enough to start on any team and takes a 6th man role with the Spurs just shows how much of a gamer he is and the fact that it's the team over the individual.

So, I'm womdering if Manu is the first 6th man ever to kead his team in scoring? If so, I think that record will last for a long, long time..

The only other player to come off the bench and lead his team in scoring did not win a 6th Man award. But... it was another Spur player. Dominique Wilkins did it in the 96-97 season he played with the Spurs.

The fact that MANu recieved 123 of 124 votes leaves little conversation on if he "deserved" the award or not. As awards go, it was a landslide of epic proportions.

I understand those that question if one of the top players in the game should play off the bench. But really, that is another discussion based only upon what would make the Spurs a better team.

The fact that a star player of MANu's quality will sacrifice self to better team speaks for his value and commitment to the larger picture. It is also what makes this 6th Man on of the best in the game!

Sorry, but I don't understand why he gets this trophy NOW.

For the things he do, he should have won it each season since 2003-2004, when Pop replaced him in the starting 5 for Hedo Turkoglu.

I think the award is very little compared of what he does... I guess he's not very happy about that.

"Manu is by far the team's best defensive player." That actually made me laugh out loud. I don't think Argentina would even go that far.

Manu is ing too (kind of) . He had this to say on Arg TV today:

It's always better to be recognized, but (the award) is not going to have a relevant place when I retire nor I will talk about it as my most important award. I don't know. To me is better to be named the best player in Italy than to be the best sixth man here. This award is kind of weird. Off course is better to win it than not to win it.

Manu almost sounds mad too that he won it comparing it to his other individual awards like that. Thanks for the translation Marhq

I love how Manu dressed up for the award "ceremony"! What's with the white capri pants? But I really like the shoes - they even match his shirt!

    Congrats Manu!

And he showed second place Barbosa tonight how much he deserved it:

    Leandro 0-7, ZERO Points
    Manu 9-17, twentynine Points

And here`s what D`Antoni said about the Award:

“I think he (Ginobili) should start so that way LB (Barbosa) could get it,”
