Nope i haven't.
i pity the announcers having work this game.
Nope i haven't.
despite the pretty basketball from NOH, DAL is still in it. Maybe the second half will be better for them.
Summary of todays game.
Kidd can't shoot
Stackhouse can't shoot
Dampier is getting killed on the pick and roll
Bass can't do anything.
Kidd can't stay in front of Paul
Paul loves that Kidd passes so much (more steals)
Dirk's help defense is pathetic
Feels like Golden State all over again.
Dirk is starting to turn it on, I think this game is starting to turn around for the Mavs.
didn't take long for josh to implode.
avery cannot be happy with the first half defense of the mavs
MVP MVP MVP.....................no.
Chris Paul can.![]()
I'm torn. I don't know who to pull for.
I grew up in San Antonio, so I'm of course a Spurs fan. If the Mavs win, the Silver & Black get homecourt against the Mavs, assuming of course they survive the Ringless Wonders of Phoenix. On the other hand, a big fat help homecourt was against Dallas in 06!
However, if the Hornets win, the Spurs don't get homecourt. But I would get to see TWO Spurs road playoffs games. And it does feel kind of good to see my adopted home city of New Orleans get behind the Hornets.
I guess I just want to see a good series.
yikes! time for some alcohol consumption.
Oops, I spoke to soon.
Just some serious boneheaded plays by the Mavs. Maybe they're throwing the game to make it a more exciting series? Maybe not
BTW, I can't say much cuz the Lakers defense ain't great but the Mavs today are downright horrible on D.
Want to lob to Chandler? Yes sir Mr. Paul, here you go. Want to get a wide open 3 pointer, ok Mr. Peja, here you go.
you need some D !
on a side note, i like the quotation box kori and friends came up with
yeah, like in Demerol.
I honestly do not understand why they don't put Josh on Paul and have Kidd on Peja. Kidd is 6'4, he can body up Peja and get a hand in his face just fine since he's pretty much just a spot-up shooter.
And I'd stay home on everybody else and turn Paul into strictly a scorer. Just go under him on the screen -- if he beats us by hitting jumpers, then tip your cap to him and wish him luck in Round Two. Because letting him getting into the lane, or trapping the out of him and letting the Hornets swing it to the open guy is a recipe for defeat.
The Mavericks are terrible.
So many problems and it's not Dirk’s fault.
It's true he has no inside game but hey, they know that...
they could have tried to correct it. instead they went and traded for Jason Kidd. Another guard? I always thought Mavs had great guards.
I used to think JKidd was awesome but... he looks very average in this series. Maybe I am missing things but he seems not to be having much of an impact.
It seems to me the MAVS are content to be swept and are just "going through the motions"...
I think Dirk knows this about his team and he is angry...
I think he does want to win.
I don't know about Avery.
what do you guys think? Are the Hornets that good?
It's Golden State all over again. New Orleans is too quick.
The Hornets are very good, but there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to make this a series. Avery sucks.
