I started my new job today on the west side... on West Commerce and Colorado.
Where's a good place to grab something quick to eat? I'm starving. Or later on something good for a longer lunch?

It's a little bit outta your way but El Tapio off Tezel and Guilbeau is the best Mexican Cuisine I've ever come across.
On the serious side... You should try that chinese restaurant Golden Star on Commerce.
That's out of my way at home!

Gee, not sure. All I remember is that it's by that big restaurant Pico de Gallo. I think the cross street is Buena Vista.

I don't know how close these are to you but when I worked in the ghetto off W. Commerce and Callaghan we used to go to Asian Kitchen (decent Thai food) and Lily's Bakery (Filipino) off Marbach or we used to head down to all the chains off 151/410.

I went to one of these places on Blanco not long ago. It's a chain? What is it supposed to be? I totally expected it would be a "malt shop" kind of place, but it was a mishmash of different kinds of food----none of it very good. And I think it was a karaoke bar too!

only one now... the one on Blanco closed last year.....

I usually do. Today I had a lean Cuisine, but they get old fast.
I get tired of fast food a lot sooner than I get tired of Lean Cuisines or a plain ham n' cheese.
I just got super spoiled working across the street from Huebner Oaks for 6 months. I'm in Chipotle/Which Wich/Papouli's withdrawals.
I can understand that. Those places are a far cry from the "fast food" I was thinking of.

The Malthouse on Zarzamora is pretty good. Never knew there was one on Blanco.
