The "Hack-A-Shaq" was used last night to see how Phoenix would react this time. Using it while ahead was crafty! It sends a message that we think we can put you further behind...
The tears of this one.. this LakeShow... they will be all the sweeter when the Lakers get their ass handed to them as well.
The tears of hidden S0ns fans... they taste so sweet. A S0ns fan pretending to be a Laker fan so he can about Hack-a-SNaq from the "moral high ground"
Take a look at your coach little whiner. And then piss off.

The funny thing is that most of these fakers fans weren't here last year and most will be gone when its all said and done. To those of you Lakers fans that have been around and for those that aren't here just to troll and plan to stick around and actually contribute, then this does not apply to you.
I don't see the big deal. You should be able to foul whoever you want off the ball outside of the final 2 minutes of the 4th, and make them shoot FT if you like. If the fat would make a higher FT % than 50% on the season people would stop doing it.
That's why you never see Hack a Manu or Hack a Nash, because they'll drop two nearly every single time. If the other team has a professional basketball player at the highest level who can't make a ing FT then you should be able to put him on the line if you like for whatever reason you like.
Shaq got to the Suns on a strategic calculation that they needed a counter to Duncan.
The tactical counter to mitigate this strategy is the Hack. It either works or it doesn't.
Although if something similar happened to Duncun, how would we feel about it?
This is one of those, "sure it's legal, but is it fair?"
I dunno, quite honestly. I might not be entirely objective on this one...
Lakeshow isn't even truly a Laker fan. He's a Rockets fan, posing as a Lakers fan, with the sole intention of talking to Spurs fans.
Lame.
One of the announcers was ing about it during last nights game. Not sure who it was. I agree with Whisky, its all part of the game and its about exploiting the weakness of the team. In the Suns case its either Shaq and Amare's inability to stay out of foul trouble and Shaq's awesome FT ability. If the big dumb oaf wants to spend the off season fixing up all this superman cars with the most bass possible, or trying to be the local sheriff instead of practicing his free throws then thats his problem.
I am not here to argue with anyone and will make contributions seeking to avoid this. I will respond if called out though as above. Thanks for your post!
I like to talk basketball and this seems like a great place. Thanks for the welcome, best of luck these playoffs, and hopefully we will have plenty of fun times here no matter what happens. I know I am going to enjoy the ride this season. When did we ever have this many teams with a shot at all the marbles? Never! NBA > all other sports.![]()
Its no different than people purposely going to Dirk Nowtizki's left side, because his ankle was weak. Or going at rookies because they lack experience. Or going at someone like Mark Madsen because he sucks balls.
That's what strategy is all about. Finding the biggest weaknesses, and exploiting them.
I agree, there are all kinds of colors flying on this board and most of the posters are good. There are exceptions however and you will come to find out who they are. Very true about the NBA or the WEST.
You are wise my young friend, well except when it comes to females hahah j/k
lol how? because I wont get at that chick that looks like Christina Milian? lol
Yes because you are young and won't get with that chick that looks like Christina Milian.
I remember Nellie did it a few back with Bruce and people called him out for it too. In that instance Bruce hit most of those free throws, he practiced at that particular phase of his game prior to the game, it backfired in that instance.
When Nellie started that strategy the first thing that came ti mind was: c'mon Bruce hit those FT's and make it backfire.
You apparently don't understand the Hack a Shaq, Hack a Bowen, Hack a Skinner strategy. But that's not surprising. There is a lot you don't understand.
He doesn't even understand that if you are a Rockets fan, you are supposed to root for the Rockets. Not the Lakers. Will he ever get anything right?
oh I understand, I understand that playing defense and winning the game like it is supposed to be played is something that goes right by you and the spurs.
I understand that you like to drink Pube sweat and you have a very little problem, inchworm.
Exactly! The spurs should be called out on it as well. Just call pop, nellie jr.!
The rules are set...until there is a rule AGAINST certain actions that make it unfair, then its part of the game and you have to DEAL WITH IT!!!
Its just like hand-checking. it was used ALL the time, until the league saw it as something that needed to change, so they put in a rule.
Get over the hack-a-shaq already. theres no PRECISE way that a team has to win a game. A win is a Win. (something youre rockets know nothing about)
this guy needs to get pinked
I thought it was okay that he did it. If we would have lost back then I would have upset with Bruce for not making his free throws, not at Nelie for trying to use the rules to his advantage.
because shaq can't hit freethrows?
Hack a Bowen may be next.
Stern would have to step in at that point & instruct both teams to cut the .
