I'm thinking of buying a BeoSound 6 to replace my iPod..
I need some ing advice. Has anyone in here used it? How was it? Do you think it's better than the iPod?

advice, get a Ipod and spend about $200 on good headphones (not Bose). You won't notice a difference, and you can store more songs
There is only one answer these days when it comes to media players- The Archos 605 wifi: 30, 80 or 160 Gigs, full web browser, touchcreen, tv hookups for playing/recording to/from your tv. Streams content wirelessly from PC to TV. Works as a USB device, no software. Supports nearly every type of file you throw at it. Even plays flash video streaming from the internet. Nuff' said.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get an ipod. anything with proprietary software and file conversion. This thing blows any ipod on the market completely out of the water.

I think he wants something that's not the size of a brick.
Fits in one hand fine. Marginally larger than the 16 gig ipod touch, but has 10x the capacity.

it's much larger - at least twice as thick, but since he was looking at a 4GB player I don't know how interested he is in that thing. then again, he seems to like blowing money and getting something new and shiny every week.
hahaha, omg give me a ing break. you people are jokes. They have these theengs... theyre called RADIOS!!
Can you watch or record video on your radio?
I like the B&O primarily because most people don't want it.
who the takes video? what would I need to record? I have a camera If I must take a visual account of something
Oh I don't know? I have a collection of about 200 digital movies. I'll never use a DVD again in my life. I have recordings of the All-star game, Dunk Contest, The Superbowl. I record playoff games and keep them if they're good. I now have all of The Wire season five and John Adams from HBO. Who the doesn't rip video in this day and age? That's my question.
It's not a camera, its a DVR. Well actually, you can get a small helmet camera for it that plugs in, so it's both.
Because I know I love hearing the same 20 ty songs played over and over and over again.
it's not that they don't want it it's because their stuff is way too expensive. They are basically Bose, but they style their products extremely sleek to drive the price up even more.
You can also take a look at Cowon/iAudio products at http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/. You can probably find something that fits your needs, and they support plenty of codecs and other features like the Archos.
I was just looking at these the other day. I'm pretty happy with my Archos, but Cowon seems like they have their together in a big way.

@ comparing an IPod with a radio
C'mon, you guys. I'm ing gay, so looks is everythaaaaaaang!
#2
you watch movies more than once or twice? 200 of them?
you re-watch the dunk contest and all-star games?
you rewatch entire television series'??
i only find enough time to watch all those things once... if at all..
and not that im a saint but :ripping video" is illegal and all i do is laugh at people who get brought down for it.
having an ipod with every single song you've ever heard where you can pick whatever you want to listen to whenever you want is a good way to overplay and ruin a song. I listen to the radio in the car between work, home and other places i go, thats more than enough music for me. i dont walk around like a tool with headphones in my ears and a gay overpriced electronic strapped to my hip all day like some of you chodes, im sure, do.
i mean look at this .... tell me ipods and the like arent gayer than gay
who can take somebody like this seriously?![]()
