Does this work?
That's how it's supposed to work (the old way). I'll ask them to look at it.
Does this work?
The quote bubbles look great. I also like the quick post reply format. Very cool and easier on the eyes!
Hey it's called progress! Get with the program!
Seriously though, you and Johnny_Blaze are right the new editor does it differently. I'll try to find the old one and see if we can add it to the current version so you oldtimers don't have to change your habits
(you can include me in that oldtimer group too)
It's not a big deal for me at all ... I just thought I was losing my mind. That's been happening more and more lately.![]()
welcome to the club!
I know it's not a big deal, but if a solution exists, we'll try to add it to the current version.
Thank you guys for my le above the Avatar!
Great job on the new site, I especially like the new quote boxes.
For people trying to use the chat room:
Make sure you are at http://www.spurstalk.com and not just http://spurstalk.com. You won't be able to get in without the www.
This will eventually be fixed but not for tonight.
I never got a few chance to say it but i saw a few others say it. Good job on the new quoiting background, looks really good.
And i've seen alot of stuff update and change lately, good job guys.![]()
I noticed there is a new feature where you can change your thread le when viewing it in the forum rather than going to the thread and going advanced to edit the name, but how do you get it exactly to work? I double click on the name and it opens for editing, but by the time I can fix it, I'm directed to the thread. How do you do it?
The mobile navigation is really cool, btw....it loads super-fast on my Centro.![]()
Psssst, it's a secret
Seriously I've been working on it since yesterday and switched it on for testing purposes like 5 minutes ago.

Sorry...but it worked great for me?![]()
Since the cat is out of the bag, here's the anouncement:
If you connect to ST.com through a mobile device, it will detect this and override the style/skin settings and display the forum in a very basic, mobile device friendly way. The url is the same as on your computer: http://www.spurstalk.com
It should work with most devices, if it doesn't with yours, then PM me and I'll see if we can add your device to the detect list.
Only bad side to this is that for the mobile skin to work it has to be user selectable, so you can see it in the drop down menu at the bottom left of every ST.com page. Don't click on it while using your computer, since it does not look good, and you might have problems getting to the default style (well I added a link at the top to help those of you who just can't help themselves).
All constructive criticisms are welcome (emphasis on constructive!).
Great updates Slomo! I regularly view the forum on my tmobile mda which views full web pages without issue. Unfortunately, with this new change I cannot switch the view back to regular view even when clicking the switch back to default style button.. Please help as I am on my mobile device and have the ability to view full pages etc.. and am missing out on sigs, etc now.. please tell me I can switch it back even with the auto detect on? Help a brah out Slomo!

You need to tell me which device you are using and I'll add it to the exception list. In that case it will not be recognized as a mobile device anymore.
I'm assuming the punishment for misspelling #32's last name is part of the new stuff. Nice touch.
Works like a charm Slomo! Thank you for your tech brilliance! Much appreciated!
I love that banner. I really do.![]()
I'm glad you can select the mobile skin, you can make st load real fast for like my laptop without having to disable images on the browser.
Looks good. However how do we get it to go back? I do not need the mobile version on my iPhone and much prefer the default. Clicking the default link does not do anything. Your help is much appreciated!
Well the idea is to make it load faster when you're not on a WiFi or home network (just using GPRS packet data or in the case of the iPhone EDGE).
I can put the iphone in the exception list, but then it will not recognize it as a mobile device anymore and will display the forum using the "normal" skins.
Is that what you and other iphone users want?
I'm a school teacher and some of the signatures you guys have make it tough for me to be on Spurstalk during classes.
Is there a way I can turn off the sigs or view threads without signatures?
Go to your Control Panel, then "Edit Options." Scroll down to "Visible Post Elements" and you can turn off signatures, avatars or all images.
