My order for true PGs in the league right now.

    Chris Paul

    D Williams

    Tony Parker

    Nash

    Kidd
I think José Calderon has what it takes to be ranked among those 5 PG very soon

After watching Tony school the Suns for the entire night, Mark Jackson said Tony be should not only be considered one of the top five "point guards" in the league today, but at only 25 years old, we should be talking about him as one of the top "point guards" ever to play the game.

Please discuss ... or if this specific topic on Jackson's comments is playing ... please merge and give me directions. Thanks!
25 years old, 3 rings and a Finals MVP. Based on that alone and compared to any of the other PGs in the league, you'd have to say he is the best.

Best to me means he's the best at winning. How can you argue?

Right now there is no point guard inthe NBA Id rather have than Tony, and that includes CP and everyone else. Tony is just 25 but has played in what, 100 playoff games? Tons of experience, leadership, knows when to pass and when to shoot. He will be the face of the franchise one day (after Tim and Manu are gone).

If Tony has a decently long career, I think he'll rank among the all-time point guards in most stats. He started so young. That, combined with multiple les, his finals MVP, and (what should be) a reputation as a good defender, Parker will go to the Hall.

If Parker plays like this all playoffs. There is no team that can even come close to the Spurs. We would sweep even the Celtics. again, if Parker plays like this

He's already in the history books with last years finals MVP award. He has played in so many playoff games and big games. This is where he has an edge compared to others. Maybe Tony got these opputunities becasue of Tim Duncan, but he still rose to the occassion. He grasped the opputunity and has not let it slip away. He is still getting better every year. He is only going to make his way up from here I think. Tony is not even close to being done in terms of stating hi "best ever" argument.

If you played the Suns in each round then yes, the Spurs would be unstoppable.

A historical comparison in the middle of playoff run is stupid. Parker is obviously not one of the best point guards of all-time but that has nothing to do with the Spurs trying to win the 2008 NBA championship.
