Lots of Crickets in here![]()
Tipp's simple 3 step plan for success
1) get a stop
2) make a basket
3) repeat
celtics, you sucked at steps 1 and 2 last saturday. i expect a better showing today.
the Celtics will win by atleast 40. They are so far superior to any other team in the NBA. They didn't even lose the other night, TNT just showed some sort of mythical event to show what would happen if the Celtics were to lose- much like the other movies they play on that channel such as Lord of the Rings and Men in Black. The Celtics don't lose and they especially don't lose to crappy teams like the Hawks, Wizards, and Bobcats
Let's go Hawks, dont be scared of the Celts just play Hard.
the Hawks are in for instant playoff death. If history repeates itself-which it almost always does- Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce will lead their team to a successful playoff run. Those 3 thrive on the big stage of the playoffs which is why they should all be considered MVPs
The big three thrive on the big stage so much as they have proven in the past, which is why they have won so many championships.![]()
The suns will win the le this year![]()
they didn't win championships because the league would not let them because they were in small markets- everyone knows that. Kevin Garnett motivates a team to play defense more than anyone else in the NBA. The NBA knew that, and rigged the draft so that he would be stuck in Minnesota where players are hard to motivate. If he played anywhere but Minnesota he would easily have 7-8 rings by now. Same goes for Ray Allen. People often compare Lebron and Kobe to Jordan, but they should really compare those 2 to Ray Allen. I mean they made a freakin movie about Ray Allen, not Jordan. The NBA stuck Ray Allen in Milwaukee and Seattle because they felt they owed something to Michael Jordan. As long at Ray was in one of those smaller markets, Jordan would still be able to be the NBA's biggest star. It was only a matter of time before Ray Allen got pissed and asked to leave NBA in Seattle- the real question is: Are NBA fans ready for a game never seen before, are they ready for Ray Allen?
It was only a matter of time before the NBA's master plan matured. They have been planning the 2007-2008 Celtics since back in 1996. This team is unstoppable. The NBA asked them to throw only a handful of games this year to keep fans watching. It's true because how else can you explain how the Celtics have lost to such teams as the Bobcats, Wizards, Hawks, Cavs and Pistons- teams made up of merely average players. The NBA has now taken off the handcuffs they placed on the Celtics and everyone needs to ask themselves: Are you ready to witness complete domination?
Jordan is like the 4th best player in the history of the NBA. I would go something like:
Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
Michael Jordan
I mean you can throw all the stats at me you want, but you can't put a number on KG's ability to motivate a professional team to play defense. Defense didn't exist in the NBA till KG showed up, so I would have to give it to him for being such an innovator
Please are you kidding me?
I think maybe, just maybe, my fellow Cavs fan is being a bit tongue-in-cheek.
The only reason Jordan gets all this 'greatest player ever' hype is because he was on a good team. I'd like to see him go to Minnesota and take his team to the playoffs 8 out of 11 years. I'd like to see Jordan take his team to the Conference Finals once in 11 years. It's not going to happen. Jordan couldn't carry a team like KG or Ray Allen. Do you think Jordan could have averaged 22ppg in Seattle and Milwaukee? The answer is: no way in .
I don't know if they win by 40 but this game will be a Celtics win by 10-20 points. The Hawks have no clue whats about to hit them.
And if they needed a little extra motivation:
Pierce fined $25,000
http://www.boston.com/sports/basketb..._fined_25.html
Plus Horford's trash talking should fire up Pierce
yeah because the playoffs alone wasn't enough to do that
See Detroit
what did they get fired up by someone talking trash?
hawks can do this, just play like they did last game.
I'm supposed to be there but have been sick all day
I don't think people would have appreciated meall over them
Let's Go HAWKS!!!
A few weeks ago, I asked why the would anybody root for the Hawks (other than Hawk fans).
I watched the first two games and switched channels after 1-2 quarters.
But now I know how people can root for the Hawks. After watching the last game, I have a perverse and unexplainable desire to watch this game and root for the Hawks.
Go Hawks!![]()
Celtics win. Hawks already got their miracle for the season.
I love Al Horford. I watch them just because of him.
