Yeah, it kinda sucks, but the rule has to be that strict, because if you start leaving it up to a judgement call by the NBA review officials, you'll inevitably get cries of favoritism and such. Step on the court during an altercation, even one step, and it's a one-game suspension. No ifs, ands, or buts. Stern made that abundantly clear last year after the Horry-Nash incident.

As much as that rule cost the Suns you have to have it. You have to maintain order in the game. Otherwise you have another palace brawl breaking out.

Man, after watching Philly and Detroit, I'm starting to wonder if the Pistons will beat the Magic.

Howard is going to dominate that series. Given Detroit's flip approach to games I think the Magic can win that series.

No one has. Voted for that one as most boring series since the beginning. Proof of that it goes through NBA TV
Hahah, no kidding, I think I've watched 5 minutes of that series and it was on accident.

Magic might end up being favored by most media against Detroit. Which would just piss them off.

I would have rather seen Magic/Celts. That would have been a great opening series. Well maybe they meet in the ECF.

Yeah...everyone's thinking Pistons-Celtics, but the way the Pistons have been loafing through the playoffs so far, they might get swallowed up by Orlando.

Is funny when I was in Atlanta in December I caught the Raptors/Hawks game you hear a pin drop in the arena. Like Bibby said winning changes everything.

Stern talked the refs at halftime and told them to give Celts the calls this half.

And it will be nice change of pace to see another team besides the Pistons in the ECF. KG vs Howard does not get better then that.

Yeah they gotta enforce it. After last year, I'd be pissed if they didn't. I just wish they'd allow like 4-5 steps or something so guys would have time to think and coaches would have time to grab dudes and put their asses back in their seats.

What are you talking about? I was sitting in lower bowl and I heard when TJ Ford fell down after Horford's flagrant foul. Awesome arena though. I was sitting on the opposite side of where the foul took place.

I'd love to see 6ers v. Magic, that'd be a fun series but I think Detroit will pull it out.

Difference between Spurs and Suns fans.

Suns fans wants to see the pretty, exciting, star filled game.

Spurs fans wants to see a team that can beat the Celtics.

Orlando beat the Celts 2 of 3 games this year. That will be a great series.

Ok here's the thing. The rule has been around for over a decade. If you don't have the composure to follow a well known, well publicized rule, you deserve to get suspended.
