Personally, i've only stayed in the Island Shangri-la, but I'd definitely recommend it for business travelers.
So I'm going to Hong Kong.. I need some advice.
Which hotel is the best bang for the buck?
here's my short list.
1. Four Seasons Hotel: US$ 539.00/night
2. Langham Place Hotel: US$ 239.00/night
3. InterContinental Hotel: US$ 539.00/night
4. Mandarin Oriental Hotel: US$ 593.00/night
5. Island Shangri-la Hotel: US$ 372.00/night
6. HongKong Peninsula Hotel: US$ 500.00/night

You get a $500/night travel allowance?
WTF do you do for a living?
I've only ever stayed at the Peninsula; it was great, but then they probably all are.
Not.
I'm going there this June. I need to book early. I just seem confused because there's so many choices and I haven't included the Grand Hyatt yet. So yeah, I posted in here to have second opinions. I kinda am thinking about the Peninsula. I surely would love riding on one of their fleet cars, namely the Rolls.
Oh yeah, I don't do anything for a living. I'm still a college student. I just decided to throw all the money I have saved for a Ducati 998. I figured I don't need a new bike. I'd rather travel. Well, I'd rather have experience over material things.
If you're a college student, stay in the YMCA (it's really quite nice, a hotel itself) and spend the $500/day elsewhere.
yeah right you're going to see your gay assfriend and you want everyone to know about it. Like anyone on Spurstalk knows anythign about $500 a night Hotels![]()
I was also going to suggest something cheaper---I mean how much time will you actually be spending in your hotel room? When I was there I spent most of the time hiking the outlying islands; at the end of the day all I needed was a shower and a bed. And you can actually experience the luxury of those hotels by just going to each one for high tea. I did a lot of that too.
I don't remember putting any sexual reference on this thread. Good day to you.
mrsmaalox, thanks for your advice, but I think I'm going to appreciate some quality as I don't think I'm going out often. I'm not going there to tour. I'd go there to have spend some time alone. Sort of like a retreat, really.
College Student staying at a 500 dollar a night hotel to stay in and not go out much. Are you not going out because you will be broke from all the hotel costs?
Lots of Buddhist monastaries take boarders. Off the top of my head I can only think of the one on the island of Lantau. It's the place with the giant Buddha. The absolute best meals I had on that trip were with the monks there.
yeah right, we all know theres only one thing you think about
LMAO
He wants an expensive hotel for him and his butbuddy to play in together all day.
Do you have any idea how much it costs per night in those places?
so why Hong Kong?
www.tripadvisor.com
i used this wite quite a bit when planning our trip to europe a couple of years ago.
500+ a night seems crazy expensive, considering London is one of the most expensive places on earth to find a hotel, and i was able to do quite well for 220ish...
If you go to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel order the duck![]()
