"The UFC has announced that the June 7th UFC 86 card from London, England will now be a free TV event with Chuck Liddell pulling out from the card. The new main event sees Light Heavyweights Rashad Evans and James Irvin collide. This is the smartest move possible by the company as this show would have been lost on PPV being sandwiched between the May 24th card and the July 5th event with Quinton Jackson Vs Forrest Griffin. Do you realize this means there will be 4 UFC shows in a span of 6-weeks with UFC 84, 85, 86 and a TUF 7 finale?"

People have been saying that for years...
He's nowhere near what he was 3-4 yrs ago, but he's good enough for the UFC HW division right now...
Tap...
You sure?
He appears to have slowed quite a bit to me...and can't walk thru punishment like he used to...
After days of confusion and frustration, it appears that Nick Diaz (Pictures) will be fighting Sunday in Japan after all.
"It was off, then on, then off again … now it's back on," said Diaz's trainer, Cesar Gracie (Pictures). "I won't really believe it until he is on the plane tomorrow morning heading to Japan" ...

SI.com learned Tuesday that the leading candidate to face the gangly wrestler is Brazilian middleweight Fabio Negao, owner of an 8-3 record. Splitting his last six bouts, Negao is coming off a loss in December to Rousimar Palhares, as well as two other defeats by Demian Maia (choke) and Ray Lazama (KO). South African middleweight Trevor Prangley had been discussed as a potential Lindland foe, but Affliction’s decision to pit Lindland against Negao appears close to final.

Mirko suffers an injury....
Mirko Cro Cop recently released a statement stating that he has suffered a minor leg injury forcing him to postpone his June 14th fight with Jerome LeBanner. The fight will now happen on July 20th. Below is the statement released by Cro Cop:
"Yes, I'm going to fight on July 20. I was looking forward to appearing on the DREAM 4 card on June 15 and I based my preparations on that. I suffered a minor leg injury last week, but it doesn't affect my trainings. During a wrestling session, I slipped and felt pain in my left knee, but the medical exams have confirmed that no damage was done. I'm wearing a special bandage just as a precaution."
if it doesn't affect his training then what's the problem???
Glad Nick is back on the card...maybe...lol
Mirko seems to be a very odd fella. Since I have started following his career I have summed up some things about him.
-He doesn't like competing too much
-He obsessively loves to train. If he could get paid to train and not fight that’s what he would do.
-He is a manic depressive
-He fiercely loves his country
-He always thinks about retiring
-He loves Jean-Claude Van Damme
AA vs Ben Rothwell at Affliction in California, not Dallas dammit...is a go.
This payroll will be insane...I am assuming they know they will lose millions on the card so my guess is they have a 2 or 3 fight strategy...but wow...how can they afford that first card payroll that will be between 6 and 7 million...plus other expenses?!?!?

We purposely planned our trip to Michigan this summer so as to not miss too much mma - and now we're going to miss Affliction. I think my head is going to explode... oh, the pain...
My wife asked if I wanted to go camping on Memorial Day and I said no because we had stuff going on before and after that weekend...I didn't mention UFC 84 that I've been waiting for all spring...![]()
My old apartment complex left me a message today asking if I was still going to rent out that bad@ss media center for the fight….
…..sigh…….

Pretty much my reaction.....
Try to avoid results because it will most likely air for free within a week of the live fight.![]()
