I understand why people dog on KG. He does act like a punk a lot. But, that's his game persona. He does that no matter who the opponent is. He'll talk to anyone. He'll act hard at anyone. During the course of a heated game, it don't matter if you're LeBron James or Jerome James, he'll come at you. Whether it's Tony Parker or Tony Soprano, he'll get up in your face. Last season, he got into it with Antonio McDyess in a game, and they're supposed to be friends.

It's the same reason a lot of people bash Chris Paul on this board. KG can be a real when he plays. But, that's where that passion and intensity comes from. He becomes a when he plays because it's about winning to him. And, he takes on that "game face" persona to fire himself up.
I dont think so...Ive never seen him talk to anyone but scrubs..Mcdyess is good but hardly an enforcer. Remember when he got in Anthony Peelers face and Peeler clocked him with an elbow? KG just backed down. I understand not wnating to be thrown out but if thats the case why even get in someones face? Ive never seen him pull rank on Shaq, the Wallace boys, and i sure aint seen pull that with Ron Ron....

I thought he got into it with David Robinson early in his career... unless you're calling David Robinson a scrub.

I think he would get into it with another star player. I don't really see another star player going after KG either.

My two favorite KG, Phony Tough Guy acts have both been in San Antonio. His jawing at Tim Duncan during the playoffs only to have Tim laugh at him and then hammer him -- hilarious. Someone has signature with a quote by Ron Artest about that encounter.

A few years ago, during a regular season game, there was some sort of brief encounter between KG and Ginobili on the sideline at the AT&T Center. Ginobili sort of went about his business ready to inbound the ball, but Garnett was yapping about something and must have caught Ginobili's attention. Ginobili got very attentive and took a few steps toward Garnett, as if to ask if Garnett was talking to him. Garnett didn't move and was pushed back by an official. He ran back up the floor towards the T'Wolves bench with his index fingers pointed as his temples, as if to say that he had gotten into Ginobili's head. I remember thinking that he really shouldn't try to make Manu mad. I can't be sure of what happened next -- it's hard to find reports about that game -- but my recollection is that Ginobili got over on Garnett by dominating the rest of the game.

well, lesson is - don't try to annoy Tim or Manu. they have a tendency of going ape on your team when they're annoyed.

I like the way he plays. Not every player is the same. KG is passionate about the game which is what fans want to see.

Did you hear that Slater gave Screech a black eye?

"Slater put Screech on life support!"

God i always loved that one. No i don't remember that. Why don't you refresh my memory. Because i seem to remember a screen where wally Z ran around Peeler with his back turned. Wally unintentially bumped Peeler as he was turning the corner. Peeler turned around saw KG standing there and elbowed him in the ribs. If i remember right, it was hard enough that KG was still back on the defensive end clutching his ribs when the wolves came down again. He stuck his elbow out at Peeler, and peeler threw a hard elbow to the face. Obviosly Garnett's fault for going after his friend, right? He obviosly started it in the hope of getting into peeler's head since he's a vital cog in that wheel. KG is a pussy for backing down in game 6 of the WC Semifinals, it would have been worth it to get his ass tossed. I'm sure if Peeler and KG's roles would have been reversed you'd remember it in a much better light.

Not to mention AP went out waving and hugging teamates like he was a star.

    My god you're a moron.
