how cool would it be to wake up tomorrow and read that Avery has been fired. No ifs and buts, but you start taking care of business right of the bat!24 more minutes of this bull .and then a KFC Bowl, and hopefully some firings/trades.

Seriously though, who are we going to get to coach this team? Larry Brown is gone. I'd rather get AIDS than have Van Gundy coach the team.

That sucks that Larry Brown is unavailable. Mark Cuban procrastinate or something or was he that loyal to Avery?
I really wanted Larry Brown. And as bad as the defense has been I want someone who can bring some creativity to the offense and JVG is really not that guy. Same for Carlisle. Maybe Del Harris can unretire!

LB was going to work for a Tar Heel. No surpises there. Plus he seems like he doesn't enjoy that much working with a winning team for long.

You know, I don't dislike Avery. I think if he could've not been such a control freak, things could've gone much better here in Dallas. I don't think he's a bad guy

What's wrong with Eddie Jordan? If you want to make one more run with Kidd, he's the guy to get.
I like eddie too but he's been doing some weird lately.
Avery's got some great coaching qualities, but unfortunately he doesn't have the X's & O's or the experience to stay with a team for more than 4-5 years. His constant barking will be tuned out by every team he coaches after the Mavs. He's still young though, if he can figure out how to calm down and get that experience, he could be a top 5 coach in the league.
come on, Mavs, if you can't win the series, push it to 6 or 7. 5 doesn't help the Spurs rest much.
This team can't even play defense with a Popovich student coaching them. They might give up 130 a game under Jordan.
Avery may be a Pop disciple, but he's the guy that only plays a center 22 minutes a game. Jordan seems exasperated with the way the Wiz play. Their D actually improved this year with the Bloghole on the chilling list.
AJ has no defensive principles from Pop. Just look at how different the teams play the pick and roll.
C'mon mavs, don't tease us by making a game of it. either get blown out or get it done, no inbetween .
Pop would have his guys go under the screen and make Paul a scorer. Avery has no clue.
The team played great defense last year & the year before. I don't think he's the man for the job anymore, but that improvement was because of Avery.
This team lost interest in playing defense, and you want to bring in a guy who has been coaching one of the worst defensive teams in the league for the past few years?
