they better win this one and next game
I've got a bet to win,god damnit!
With the Rockets facing elmination, they came back and buried the Jazz by 26points for the first blowout of the series. Can the Rockets do it again? The Rockets seemed to have found that 22 game win streak magic again in game 5. More motion, more hard cuts, less pick and roll and predictability. The bench was huge and got all the loose balls. The defense came up huge. Adleman has adjusted to the double teaming of T-Mac by calling Scola and Landry's number. The shooting has picked up in large part because of getting a lot better looks.
Meanwhile Sloan and company will be trying like crazy to close out the series in Utah because they definately do not want the series to be tied 3-3 and having to play the Rockets on their own home floor to close the series out.
The Rockets are incredibly banged up with the announcment today that Battier, Alston and T-Mac will require surgery in the offseason and are all playing hurt right now. Yao, Francis lost for the season and an aging Mutumbo locking down the post. Getting past the first round would be considred a success with this amount of injuries. Everything else is gravy. Heck just getting this far is a testament to Adleman and the heart of this team.

battier will tough it out. he always does. i have developed a new level of respect for him this year.
i would love to see another dominating defensive performance by the rockets. last night's game was the best game the rockets have played since the streak. who knows how it will go with the refs since the game is in utah. all we can hope for is that the game gets called equally rough and no flopping is allowed.
They are 2 and 2 in Utah this season, they can do it.....The Refs will decide....will they let Utah mug the perimeter players, or will they call them for the touch fouls? This benefits Houston and Tmac a lot.
DD
it has nothing to do with refs or rockets, if jazz wants, they(we) win.(full stop)
LOL - you have been hanging out with Josh Howard and hitting the peace pipe.
These teams are about as evenly matched as you an possibly get.....every game is a toss up...every one.
DD
utah is so lucky that yao is hurt. houston is a really dangerous team. if they can win on friday, i got them to win game 7 in utah. this team has tons of heart. i'll be rooting for them.
LOL! Not the last one.
Well you almost got it right. Game 6 is in Utah and Game 7 is in Houston.
lol...I love it. More announcments from Rockets camp that players are injured. You haven't heard a damn thing from the Jazz side about DWill's tailbone, Boozer's back, AK's hip, or Brewer's hamstring pull. They don't use injuries as an excuse. All the Rockets are doing is setting themselves up for excuses when they don't win Friday night.
Houston is playing the sympathy card pretty heavy right now.
injuries from flopping don't count![]()
WTF is Utah doing? Is Alston really outplaying Williams?
HAHA!! Very funny. Deron and AK must've flopped on flagrant fouls then because that's when the injuries took place.
It's done, 26 pt. blowout victory for the Rockets. I hope that this means that they have figured out the Utah Jazz defense and can blow right by them now. Motion, motion and more motion. Adleman did say that the Rockets are quicker than the Jazz and that's what they have to do. Play to their strengths and not to run the pick and roll set offense which the Jazz can just manhandle and foul to their hearts content. With the sharper cuts, the running and the speed, a Jazz player has to reach in or get a body in which is much more evident to a ref than in the other offense. No more pick and roll ...defend that Jazzholes!
How many of your players have missed multiple games this year with those so called pussy injuries you talk about? How many of them have missed the first two games of the playoffs? How many of them are all stars AND will miss all of the post season?
dude, why don't you go buy some tampons for your 8 fat wives and stf
your team is pathetic, losing by 26 to a team missing Yao, francis.![]()
honestly, I view the Jazz and to some extent houston as both overrated. There are/were 4 teams better than both in the west as far as I'm concerned.
Spurs
Phoenix
New Orleans
Lakers
Don't think New Orleans is better than a healthy Houston team. I think Phoenix is not better either than a healthy Houston team.
Except that Yao can't defend Amare but then again Amare can't defend Yao either.
I agree with you on the jazz......If yao and tmac can stay healthy along with the young talent the team has........just wait and see who's dominant next year.......Its all about staying healthy for the rox.
phoenix, you guys are old and DONE. We owned new orleans this year with and without yao. We crushed the Lakers a few times too.......
You are full of it...........
A healthy Rocket team???

Do you believe in unicorns too?
stop being a ,
watch out b/c Karma is a mother er....
Keeping making fun and your little center will roll his ankle again or kobe blow out a knee....its a fragile thing here staying healthy. I have no control over it, other than to hope they stay healthy. Props to your team for being almost as healthy as you could want going into the 2nd round.
btw, yao has had the injury bug bite hard, but each injury that he has healed from has not come back...the injury site has gotten stronger and its new freaky unrelated like tim thomas crashing down on his knee last year, then someone kicking his foot the year b4 that and toe nail infections from bad shoes/people stepping on him.
I'm glad you seem to take pleasure in the injuries of other teams.
See ya next year. The only think old about Phoenix is shaq. Nash never clears more than 1" off the ground.
Not!
Rockets split the series with the Suns this year, and the only time the Rockets played the Suns on a night not on a back to back, the Rockets won...without Yao.
Rockets are a better team than the Suns (both teams at full strength).
Yeah, this is not old
shaq 36
r.bell 32
g.girasuck 32
grant OvertheHILL 36
steve nash 34
eric pieholkowski 38
b.skinner 32
barbosa, amare, and diaw 26......not exactly fresh young talent there...
wgas if nash plays below the rim, way, way below the rim........he is old and turnover prone.....
Once again, the Jazz show us all how much they suck on the road...![]()
