Learn to play basketball........free throws are a major part of it.

at dumbasses that feel sorry for someone who cant knock down an uncontested shot. Well too friggen bad. If Shaq could shoot his FREE throws, Hack a Shaq would not exist.

    Pop is a genius.

Getting pissed about Hack a Shaq is like getting pissed because one guard keeps stealing the ball from another because the other guard cant handle the ball.

It's not so much as feeling bad for Shaq it's for their own selfish reasons: It's ruining the game for me.

WHAT??? People act like it was cheating or something. I thought in sports you go after a teams weakness in order to help you win.

What is the big deal about this? I fail to see it.....also Str8Ballin......you are the one that is ed. Where are your Suns??? I can tell you

of coarse, ppl make a big deal out of it because of the media. It's smart, and exploits a weakness. If you want to pick on someone, let it be Shaq. If he could make FT's this wouldn't happen.

I dont' care about the Hackashaq I didn't mind and thought it was good. But from the anaylsts that disproved of it, were saying it was ruining the game for the fan and their hard earned money. Dumbass suns fans were the ones calling it cheating after they all, they are dumb.

Why does hoops have a monoply on all the brain dead macho fools who can't see the beauty of the mental part of all compe ive sports.

Victory in all sports is achieved by hitting the compe ion where they are weakest. It is called strategy, stupid. Competive battles are about strategy, execution and adjustments.

The Spurs destroyed the confidence of not only Shaq, they had the entire Suns team making simple foolish mistakes because they knew their runs were being cut short by the "big weight" they were forced to tow.

I guess we need to have a long cry and a group hug for all those manly BOYS who's view of the World is shaken by the way sports has and always will be played.

It served its purpose. It disrupted the Suns offense and got into D'Antoni's head.

Mission accomplished. Phil's just bracing for the inevitable run-in with San Antonio.

I don't think Hack-A-Shaq is brilliant. Is it brilliant to issue your troops ammunition before taking the field? Nope, it's standard operating procedure. Hack-A-Shaq is THE proven strategy for dealing with O'Neal. Why anyone could see this as controversial after about thirteen years is beyond me.

I know this isn't Sun Tzu's Art of War, but Pop did whatever he had to do to win in the shortest amount of time possible. Why you ask? Well, our playmaker and team catalyst extraordinaire Manu Ginobili is hurt and we need to get him lots of rest and into the training room asap so we can get ready for the next round.

Look I'm not crazy about the Hack-A-Shaq, but it accomplished what it needed to for my team. And that's why Pop is such a brilliant coach, he picks and chooses his battles carefully. You've never seen this strategy from Pop before and I doubt you'll see it again, but he picked the best possible time to use it.

So, a pitcher who walks a batter because he has better accuracy than the next hitter is cheating? I think its called strategy. The fans dont like it but its not cheating.

Have players at the end of your bench foul a sub par free throw shooter?

    BRILLIANT!

It's not entertaining to watch. Neither is intentional fouling to get possession back.

The blame for both sits squarely on players who can't hit their FTs.

I don't care at all about "the spirit of the rules". That's loser talk. And I don't give a about whether the game is boring or slowed down. The Spurs winning is not boring. Hack away.

i dont know how any player in the nba can shoot 50% from the line. Thats your job do you ever practice? with all that practice you should make some damn free throws. I mean what else does he practice? He doesnt shoot jump shots. And obviously the whole "i make them when it counts" bull doesnt work anymore.
