You know he'll do his best. All this means is that the rest of the bench needs to step it up. All Hail the Mango Tree.

    3 days isn't enough?

    I doubt that.

Once again, he wasn't held out of practice.

Does that sound like a guy thats iffy for game 1?

If Manu was that hurt, the Spurs wouldn't be allowing him to practice. He ran a full practice yesterday and it was one of the hardest practices of the year.

Basically, he's saying the same stuff he usually says when he's banged up. That he's going to play through it because he thinks he can contribute. That he's not 100 percent (obviously). That if he's ever hurting the team, that would be the time he wouldn't play, but he thinks he can help. And the injury isn't getting worse.

I don't see anywhere saying that he's iffy for game 1.

Not missing, but like, isn't gonna be able to bring at least what he brought in games 2 and 3.

I think thats what he brings saturday is a remake of game 2 or 3 honestly.

Just curious, when is Manu EVER 100%?

Maybe on the 13th of August, and even then in the backyard pool basketball game he probobly hurts his upper back from shooting so much.

Well, he got hurt in Game 2. He'll play hard as he can. He might be ineffective like in Game 5, or be able to contribute quite well. But he won't be Super Manu unless he recovers overnight, which isn't likely with an ankle jam.

He's not, which is my point.

It's not serious enough to hold him out of practice.
But it's serious enough that he probably won't be at his very best.

Since 2002 (the year he injured his ankle in the WC) he's never been 100%.

I think game 5 was more due to him being in foul trouble, than health, in his ability to play well.

If he can get going early in game 1 against New Orleans, adrenaline and whatever else will help him carry on, I'm more than confident

OK he's hurt but so are most at this time. Everyone is banged up to some degree or another. If he was practicing then I think he will be alright. I can't see Pop deliberately risking serious injury to Manu anytime even though this is the playoffs. If Manu is hurting more that he is letting on as some seem to think then it will become evident to Pop as the game goes on if he hasn't already noticed it during practice.

I don't. He was noticeable limping and didn't have any lift.

He must've gotten rehurt in game 4 then, because he looked great in game 3.

The game after he jammed his ankle.

Yeah game 3 or 4, he re-tweaked his groin too. In general, he was really banged up by Game 5. So was Tony, obviously.

Yeah Tony near the end of game 5 looked tired and was ready for a day off.

The 3 days off IMO will have those batteries more than recharged.
Duncan will be MORE than ready to go, as will the other old goats.

I think if Ginobili was THAT badly hurt that it was affecting his play, THAT badly? He wouldn't have practiced.

    Just my opinion.

I dunno about the Spurs training and their "expertise" on players injuries.

They let Barry came back waaay too soon.

Thing is, I dunno if Manu's injury gets much better sitting out...it's been bothering him for awhile now...and it shows.

Damn it!!! We need Ginobili to be healthy. He's the better mis-match we can exploid against NO.
