Phil Jackson coached the Bulls for 10 years (1989-1998)
and coached the Lakers for 8 years and counting (2000-2008)

When its all said and done, will Phil be remembered greatly as a Bulls coach or Lakers coach?

He'll be remembered as he says he wants to be remembered. Let's wait for his book after he retires.

Phil Jackson coached? Since when? I could of sworn Jordan played and coached the team while Phil watched. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure the only coaching Phil told the Lakers is "Get it to Shaq. If you can't, get it to Kobe."

Jackson just happened to be the coach of teams with good players, but he doesn't get any credit from me.

Do you really believe that players like Jordan, Pipen, Rodman, Bryant or O'Neal would tolerate an incompetent coach? Or any other players on that teams for that matter. How stupid are you?

I was waiting for someone to imply that Phil Jackson created the Triangle Offense (which is obviously wrong). Nice response.

You think Jordan ing cared? All he wanted was his rings. He could give a about what the coach did if HE was the one ordering his players around, which he was. O'Neal wouldn't care either. As I said, he just wanted the rings and Kobe was along for the ride.

for actually thinking that Jordan cared about what Jackson says

Because he saw potential in Wade and he was correct as a year after he went to Miami, they won him his 4th ring.

Don't worry, he cared. He cared enough to say that he wouldn't play for any other coach (when he retired for the second time).
And don't bring that Wizards crap (Jordan was an owner at the time, so he had to worry about their ratings).

And to answer the original question. He is a BULL, he established himself as a Bull, and things that he do with the Lakers are just the icing on the cake.

Jordan retired a second time because a higher-up was trying to dismantle the team. No one could understand why you'd dismantle a championship team. Anyway, if you watch what Jordan did on the sidelines, you'd see he did more coaching than Jackson. I don't care what he said in public, which was just to save face.

Did you compare Popovich who is the most efficient coach right now to Jackson? Do you see some of the moves Popovich made? Your post is re ed.

Not really, the coaches and personnel favored Kobe over Shaq. This fact contradicts with Dueces88 saying Shaq didn't give a damn about what the coaches said.

Has Popavich won any rings without Duncan?

Are you seriously trying to discredit a coach who has 3 three-peats?

Why didn't MJ coach himself into a championship in the first 8 seasons he was in the league, when Jackson wasn't his coach?

    Who's re ed?

And if he really loved the Lakers and didn't want to leave them he wouldn't have cared who favored who, just as long as they both went out there and gave it their all. He wanted to be the face of the franchise, hence his demands of being traded.

No you got it wrong buddy, If Shaq Didn't care what the coaches had to say he wouldn't have got mad at them and would ignore what they had to say about him therefore staying with the Lakers.

Still you. Jordan worked hard to be at the skill level he was at in the 90s. Not talking about rings, I'm talking about coaching, re .

You ever see when Spurs are up by like 12 and then Oberto or something makes a defensive error, Popovich calls an immediate time out. He does that to point out the leaks immediately so it doesn't happen again. He also employs different strategies and carefully constructs his team to have a good balance of offense and defense. Of course, you don't notice that because you're re ed
