dont call me stupid because i made an opinionated comment. i felt like he played with no heart. he wasnt hustling. he had 3 rebounds. thats playing with no heart. its not like he was tryin and struggled. he wasnt tryin. he was mooping around. he had no heart. i saw a pass go to him, he bobbled it...it fell to the floor and he watched it roll...ROLL out of bounds off of him. NO HEART. he needs to get his damn act together. there is a difference with plying hard and having a bad game..and playing with no heart. you dont get 3 rebounds playing with heart

KEDA and I came to the conclusion based on scientific evidence (namely, we have both played it, too), that Tim was tired from playing too much GTA 4.

the truth is, Tim got lazy and soft.

The intensity he brought to the Suns, wasn't the same mentality he brought last night. If NO is going to double him, Tim has to get into a better position on the low-block and he's teammates need to help him out and feed him.
    Instead he lazily deferred

does anyone know if Tim Duncan has suffered an injury or was sick last night? Tim had 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in 37 minutes. I can't believe that he didn't have the flu or food poisoning or something. I hope its the flu or food poisoning, because then he will rebound with a vengence next game. We only lost the '04 and '06 les because Tim had injuries.

No heart. You can't be a Spurs fan if you think Duncan has no heart. He's the heart and soul of this team.

    Tim's gonna have a 30 15 night tomorrow..

    I can almost smell it!

I can guarantee anyone that he's more pissed about it than us... he will come out the next game and dominate the hornets.

I've found nothing on Duncan hurt in any way. And I've looked.
The Spurs keep things close, we may not know if he was hurt or sick.

My guess is it was an off night. A bad game. I expect to see the Duncan we know in game 2. No matter what they throw at him.

in '05 Tim Duncan had two bad ankles but we still won.
I don't think Tim was playing hurt. Just made passive decisions.

What, I'm sorry! Tim just kept drive-bying me and I had to use the chopper to dispose of him! It was a pain in the ass to land, though.

I honestly don't know what the happened last night?? Tim is 32 years old but as we saw from the Suns series he is still in his prime or close to it. It is not like he has never been doubled hard before. I thougth he would adjust for the 2nd half and be more aggressive, fight for better position down low, make better choices when he is doubled but it never happened. It is like he was thrown off by the double teams, then rushed a few shots they were all off and he just had no confidence the rest of the night. I expect a much better game from him. He has to play better and smarter, get the most of his shots and fight his ass off the whole game.

Was he really hurt in '06? He dropped 39 points on the mavs in game 7.. I didn't think he was hurt then..

He had plantar fasciatis that season and had to play through it. He was pretty much out of gas after game 7.

Oh.. Still I don't think that counts as an excuse.

Then again maybe it's just my expectations.. but that game was certainly winnable (and no, I'm not going to say "if Ginobili didn't foul Dirk". What if Ginobili didn't make the 3?)

double post: for the record I think Duncan will come out strong in game 2. Unlike other players Duncan has the mental for ude to bounce back from a bad game.

Not a knock on NO, though. I thought the Spurs were still in it despite playing badly, but you have to give them credit. I think Paul making West better is a bit of a stretch though.. dude can create his own shot. Let's see how Pop adjusts.

I think Scotts aggressive double teams every time Tim touched the ball caught Tim by surprise and knocked him off his game. Scott stubbornly refused to double Duncan in the Spurs/Nets series and I don't think Pop/Duncan were expecting this.

I don't expect two bad games in a row from him...

"double teams every time Tim touched the ball caught Tim by surprise"

As if Tim/Pop had never seen double-teams these past 10 years? Do those guy even think about DTs and how to respond?

Too simple, Tim was in some kind of drug-like funk.

I'm stuck with an image of Tim in the PHX series, also drug-like, as on a 1000 mg of caffeine.

He was at that FT line, camera below the backboard, Tim wiping his brow, rocking a little, almost coudn't be still, intense, staring at the ball STILL in the ref's hands, sorting like "hurry up and give me the ing ball. I gotta a game to play, there's business to finish!".

That's the Tim I want to see tonight.

If it were not for Tim Duncan, the Spurs will have 4 rings less and we won't be talking smack here. Go easy on TD people...
