This weekend, I asked the poster here known as Sunshine to marry me. We spent the weekend at Port Aransas, and during a walk along the beach, I cleared a spot from the seaweed, glass, and jellyfish and got on one knee to propose.
She said YES!!!
I'm a lucky guy.

beats the weekend I had. Went to a bar Friday, saw my ex talking and flirting to a player on the Royals. It pissed me off but I was like 'no big deal he plays on the Royals he will be out of the league soon'...well the er gets a game winning hit on Saturday and the Indians lose on Sunday and go 0-2 this weekend.
Yeah, that does suck.
My advice to you is to begin drinking heavily.

Thanks to those with the well wishes...we're extremely happy.

And no date has been set yet, although I think it will be sometime between now and October, most likely a small family ceremony with just a few friends.
One cool "factoid" about this engagement is that ST is in a sense responsible for us getting together. We both used to post on the Spurs forum on mysa.com until it folded (back in 2002), then continued on with a small forum that he and Kori and a few others ran called "The Rejects" and kept following Kori and the original core group around - Cosmic Cowboy, Travis2, CrazyOne, JimCS, Munchelen, Kori, LJ, XRayZebra, Jenn, Betsy, SportCamper to name a few.

I'm 45. Second marriage for both of us and I've got 2 kids from my first marriage, 11 & almost 14, who are both 100% supportive of the marriage and are really excited about it.
oh cool. I was just asking because I'm 24 and know a bunch of my friends are getting married and that makes me feel old

Don't feel old just because of that. People are marrying at all stages of life now...it will happen when the right one comes along.
