don't you think idiots shooting at the help kinda muddied up (oops) things.
    Few people really did that.

So many rumors flooded out during Katrina.

The government should have used trains and airlines to evacuate the city. They knew it was coming. Then it takes four days for the Army to show up. Boy I really hope no one decides to invade our country, we might be ed.

People who were tired of getting no help, I'm sure turned to desperate and crazy means. Looting was bound to happen and was nothing like what was in LA.

Although while under marshal law, we ALL carried guns. We all heard stories of cops killing looters.

If it wasn't for the great state of Texas, we would have been much worse off. If anything was ever to happen to yall, I would open my home and my pocketbook in an instant.
I was in a hotel room in Houston when the storm hit. If more people would have left it wouldn't have been so bad.

Not to bring down the spirit of the trash talking in here, but everyone was devastated by what happened. We have several board members who volunteered at the Dome (was it the Dome?) when it filled up with refugees. I am personally ecstatic for the city that it's coming together and you have a team in the playoffs.

Okay, back to business... You damn dirty Hornets fans!!

to be honest i stopped reading here cause people should've evacuated and not have been stubborn in the first place. i'm not being an ass here, but come on. you know damn well that city was notified and no one, this includes civilians, did a damn thing.

Sad thing is, up until katrina they used to play that song at Saints games.

I wouldn't care if the opposing teams play that, its a catchy song.
    Now if it said
"Here I am......leave you stranded for days in water, caused by failure of federal levee system. While I put my buddy in charge, and he eats at the best restaurants in Baton Rouge, while no one in New Orleans even has running water. Then take years to give out aid payments. Only to treat you like a red-headed step child. Then blow all our treasury on a war in Iraq."

Then it would be offensive, but that isn't as catchy as "rock you like a hurricane."

Katrina was just a storm, George Bush was a disaster.
I dunno, with the right beat, that could be catchy.

Please stop whining. And this is from a Hornet fan. Trash talk should consist of us pointing to the scoreboard and Spurs fans pointing to 4 rings in a decade. End of debate. If you want people to act classy, be an example, dude.

And the Rick Astley thing was pretty good. It got me. Awesome.

I must agree with you. I do think that the government should have done more for helping those who had no way out (elderly, handicap, etc.) ... HOWEVER, being poor is not an excuse. People should have gotten off their lazy asses and got the out of the city. They had at least 2-3 days to get out. The media just chose to show video clips of the absolute worst citizens that New Orleans has to offer (9th ward, unemployed rats living off of the government). The majority of the GOOD people in New Orleans who lost their homes weren't even shown in the media (other than local news). The media only focused on the worst people living in New Orleans. Trust me, New Orleans has its fair share of trash for citizens just like every city does, but its only a small portion.

WERD...I'll never forget the aerial shot of that flooded lot with all the school buses in it...hmmm, maybe they could've used those to help people GTFO of NO before Katrina hit, ya'think? People at all levels dropped the ball during Katrina. It was a cluster- of monstrous proportions.

We have friends who live here here in Tampa now who lost EVERYTHING in Katrina and had to start over from scratch.

Hopefully, it's the last time we all see something like that.

    That said...GO SPURS GO!!!

Oh your right. 90% of the city evacuated, so your right civilians didn't do a damed thing.

we had taken over South Houston and Atlanta before the storm even hit.

Not everyone has a car. Look at when they evacuated Houston for Rita. Its hard to move a million people.

Also what you don't know, is that we have Hurricane evacuations every year, (almost). Most of the time the Hurricane turns away and our evacuation turns into a three day trip to see family in Texas. I almost even stayed during Katrina, glad I didn't.

Look asshole. If the goddamn levees would have hel we wouldn't even be talking about Katrina. The government is responsible for the flood, but I doubt you would understand that.

There are just more pictures of Spurs players because we usually play longer than everyone else.
