SpursReport sold?

A friend of mine who post there told this weekend that there are heavy rumors that Dusty sold the site, and the last week problems were related to that.

Anyone knows something about it?

funny how most of the people thinks that SR sucks, but post in the thread. If SR sucks it should be a non issue. But everytime there are problems there, there is a thread here and people post in it.

My other thought was that this is a scam, and that Modesto thinks that if people think he's gone, they may go back.

I heard that he sold too. But I've heard on and off for a few years that he was selling and it never happened. It's definitely weird that they switched domain registrars last week when their domain wasn't up for renewal yet.

No it wasn't as far as I know. They just have a reciprocal advertising situation with them.

SpursReport was sold to ClearChannel a few months back.

Since then only moderators are allowed to signatures, the pm feature has been disabled and two moderators have been fired.

MomBear who was relieved of moderator duties back in February works for clear channel and appears to now have far more control over the web site.

There has been a mass banning of sorts. Many posters, especially ones who were in disfavor with MomBear, have been given a "Miserable User" designation, which means it does not say you are banned on SR, but you can no longer log into SR. Many posters that were deemd "Miserable Users" never broke any SR rules bt were just disliked by MomBear.

I'm not a fan of SR, but I don't wish them any harm. I don't like the stuff that Kori went through, but it's a live and let live kind of thing. It ended up working out, Kori created ST.

I'm glad we have a choice, I'm glad ST exists. I'd hate for SR to be the only Spurs site around.
