I really can't find one thing that makes this music good...
it's like it's made when they were high off acid..
What's so good about this band that makes fuzz?
I really can't see it.
This is easily Treznor's best work since With Teeth, maybe since The Fragile. It's raw, angry and most of all, it rocks. Lights in the Sky is quite possibly the best song Trent has ever written. Ghosts, that CD sucked, as did Year Zero but this is a return to form. I can't wait to see how this translates live with the band he assembled this time around.

I need a list of their kick ass songs because I'm having problems finding them. All I'm finding is gay songs that are supposedly cool. The only songs I've ever liked by them are Head Like a Hole and The Hand That Feeds. Other than that, I've thought they're pretty annoying. So help?
so far those two and the light in the sky are the only ones that I don't dislike
Eh, not much a fan of Light in the Sky.
"Closer"
"Burn"
"The Perfect Drug"
"Something I Can Never Have"
"Hurt"
"March of the Pigs"
"Dead Souls" (one of my very, very favorites)
Deep
Terrible Lie
Sin
the wretched
Another album already? I made a thread about Ghosts I-IV, but this appears to be yet another album.
Interesting.
I'm getting my tickets for the August show tomorrow. It's going to be a bloodbath.
Yes, this one is called The Slip
Something tells me that S y loves The Slip.
To anyone that thinks NIN is just noise, are you kidding me? Just because it's not generic or simple, doesn't make it bad. we should admire the fact that he's putting out music and letting us have most of it for free. Here's a tip, skip the buttnuggets called Pretty Hate Machine, Year Zero, and Ghosts because those are bad. If you can't enjoy The Slip or With Teeth, you'll have a hard time getting into the rest of Trent's work. I wish more artists would give back to the fans like Trent does.
For the weird music that not many people like category, it's all Korn for me.![]()
If by weird, you mean generic radio-metal, than yes. Trent Reznor pisses on Jonathan Davis' shoes.
Jonathan Davis>Trent Reznor
Korn>Nine Inch Nails
Music you can actually listen to>Fuzzy .

Jon Davis himself has even said Trent is one of his biggest influences. You're talking about one of the most respected musicians working today who is now clean and sober and is just as good as ever. Not some who makes music for s. Epand your mind and tastes a little bit and give Trent a chance and jump off the sinking ship that is Korn. There's a reason somebody always leaves that sandwhich for a reason each year.
So he likes Trent's music. Great. But I don't.

Who gives a damn if it's a sinking ship? They still pretty good music today and they could end the band and it would still all over NIN.
What does that even mean?
A two star review from All Music for Korn's last effort doesn't cons ute as good music. And what I meant by my last quote is that somebody is always leaving Korn for "personal reasons", maybe they know how much of a joke they are and can't stand to be laughed at by the rest of the music community.
I like how you say for me to expand my mind, but you believe that one review = the actual quality of the music.
Their drummer, David Silveria, is on an extended hiatus(though even I doubt he'll be back) to focus his attention on his chain of restaurants (he left after your beloved All Music review gave the previous album a 4 stars, so I doubt he thought they were a joke) and the guitarist Brian Welch left because he believed he needed to focus on religion more than his music career (he left after the review gave the previous album a 3.5, which is bull because that's in my opinion their worst album [their latest album kicks it's ass so much], so I can understand if he thought they were going downhill, but it was mainly the religion that convinced him to leave.)
Yeah, no.
LMAO @ Korn>NIN...........NO ING WAY.
Popcorn>NIN
Especially the buttery, hot theater stuff. hmmmmmmm.
FYI---
the lyrics are embedded in the songs...in iTunes, right click the song, 'Get Info', then click the lyrics tab....pretty cool.
it's pretty good. it's no fragile. and the mix is a little harsh than usual. this is from my first passing.
