Vintage Spurs Uglyball
I actually feel better about this game at half time than game one, even though the game one lead was bigger. This time, the Spurs are leading the rebounding count. Last game they were getting killed on the boards.
If the perimeter guys can get some semblance of shooting touch, the Spurs will be OK.
The Hornets haven't impressed me at all. The Spurs play is so disappointing. Nobody stepping up to hit or even take the wide open looks. The '07 Spurs would be on their way to a sweep of this team. It looks like the Spurs have never faced a hard double on Tim before. That should be the look they know how to burn like no other. For god sales, wake the up!

Parker looks like he's injured or caught Duncan's flu bug. He seems out of it.
Yeah...we need points in the paint to get us going. There's no way the guards are going to get points in the paint with Tim sitting down in the lane with the paint clogged.
Tony and Manu FVCKING SUCKED in that first half. Even Greg Sutton and Vinny Del Negro have to be embarrassed by that first half performance. Manu is playing like he forgot his basketball IQ somewhere on Bourbon Street and Parker is playing like he's a rookie.

Too many unnecessary turnovers. Why do they automatically look for a jumper on offense?
GET the ball to Duncan! He shows he can score before the double team comes and if the double comes, he can pass it out to the open man. Go to Duncan FIRST ALWAYS! Even if he's on the bench!

Played like but still ahead by 1. If this game stays close I'm sure the Spurs will pull it out. Nice job keeping NO under 50 by half.

They're doing better this game. TD is getting the ball out quick and they are swinging it around the perimeter sharply.
What adjustment on offense is going to make Finley or Tony or Udoka or Bowen hit a wide open jumper??? Because they had about 20 of them in that first half, we should be up 10 easy here

Missing shots early has rattled them all. They receive the ball and look to pass when they have a open shot. I can see 2 to 3 passes but 4 and 5 every time is ridiculous.
We need to get our wings some easier looks going to the bucket to get their rhythm. Bonus, getting Chandler and/or West into foul trouble...
We've seen this before. This isn't the first time the Spurs have shot 4% and still been in the game. They're right where we want them.
What's with Manu? The CoM better pray a good one at halftime. Damn I haven't seen him so out of it ever. He seems frustrated and that silly foul on Paul right before the half.

Disagree. Four Down has resulted in a wide open shot virtually every time. The shooters just need to sack up and hit a couple.
