Wow.
Reported on TNT, from the team doctor.
He was sick Saturday, they sent the doctor to his room yesterday. 103 fever. They did fluids and meds, called it a 24 hour bug. He looks okay tonight, we'll see if he's really better.
All talk of him playing soft Saturday should stop. He's a fighter. Guys with 103 fevers are excused from playing at all. That he was out there, and we weren't even told he was sick, is a testimony to the heart he has.
Yeah, wow.
The Spurs never make excuses. It could have easily been told during pre game press, certainly post game after his horrific performance. But no one knew until tonight when it was let out in a sideline report.
The man has heart. Grit. He's a compe or, all that matters is the game. The win.
Who's making excuses? He didn't complain about it or anything. He toughed it up, tried to play, and did all he can do. And that's all you can ask of someone.
Beat me to it, all those that said he has no heart get in here and give the man a ing apology.![]()
I apologize but they should have ing told us.
Didn't Jordan dropped 37 on 103 degrees in the Finals?
Yup. I felt bad for Tim.I hope he really is better now. He didn't even mention it during the postgame. Just blamed himself for the poor game he had.
Steve nash uses that reason all the time for his bad games.
Hornets followers (I don't call them fans because NO is an awful sports town) have no credibility regarding the game of basketball and the Spurs in particular. I think the people of NO figured out they had an NBA team in December of 2007.
Remember Hornets followers, George Shinn owns your team. You should not trust him. He won't take care of those players as a group in the long run. He WILL mess it up.
i officially retract anything negative i said about Duncan's performance.

According to Jordan, not the most honest of fellows.
you, . Trying playing basketball with a 103 fever and see how well you do.
I once played a football game with a mild fever, it sucked bigtime.

Yea but stomach virus is not an easy thing to deal with
We all owe Tim Duncan an apology
Playing a Game 1 with that fever.. he loves the game and he wants the championship.
