I went to Costco & spent $350.00 this weekend but I have not received any stimulus check…I wonder if I can send in the receipt to the Government for a refund?

Same here, I was going to get new car speakers when I got mine. I guess I could still get them but its just like you said I know its coming and I want it.
Yea I don't even have anything I want to spend it on other than my speeding ticket I got a couple weeks ago. I guess I'm excited to save it- I'm very very responsible though
The responsible thing would be to get out there and spend it to help out our economy!!!
I've dropped about 7k in the last 3 months on TVs,Vacations, concert tickets, furniture, and lots of booze so i think I've done my share. I better save some so I don't turn into one of the people that got us in the whole mess to begin with

It was money I saved/ made from selling my old car that I saved for when I knew I was moving into a new place. I'm not some baller, I don't have the money myself to spend like that all the time, it was just saved to buy stuff I know I had to buy for my new condo. The only think I guess I splurged on was the vacations, but the stimulus will offset that7K!?! Damn!! That's a third of my whole salary.

Thats the same thing with me. I very rarely buy anything besides booze when I;m off. The last thing I bought that cost some cash was the PS3. And it hurt me to do that. I'm going to eventually buy that HD TV is soon as A sends me his stimulus check.

My dad claims me on his tax return, because I am a college student. However I also worked last year and filed my own tax return. Will I get my own check, and will my dad get money for claiming me as well? Or will I get only one of those checks?
If you filed and got a tax return, you should get a stimulus check.
Your Dad, on the other hand. is going to jail for fraudulently claiming you on his taxes. Maybe the 600 will cover his bail.

If you’re a young college student who had earned income for 2007 but are claimed as a dependent under your parent’s tax return, you are ineligible for the tax rebate as well.
Under the Senate approved proposal, illegal immigrants will also not be eligible to receive tax rebate checks for obvious reasons.

Why your not paying taxes every pay check like us. You guys already get hand outs in the form of Financial Aid and Grants.
