Spurs are ing done. They would have been done last year if Donaghy/Stern hadn't saved them against the Suns.

    3-1...

They were also one missed open 3 away from not coming back. Boo.

Oh and the Spurs CAN win it. They have the ability too.

If we WIN the next 2 at Home, the situation will reverse - we will have a 3-game series of which we would need to defend Home Court and win one over there...NOT impossible if we WIN the next 2 games at Home!

Come on people, have some FAITH!
If the Spurs win these next two in SA then the home court does not switch to SA. It goes 2-2-1-1-1 That would be 2(NO) 2(SA) 1(NO) 1(SA) 1(NO).

Do you honestly see yourselves winning 4 of the next 5 games? It's not going to happen.

....4 les in 9 years. we will always remember, how the spurs against all odds, defeated the league, refs, TV ratings and big markets. They accomplished alot. I am proud of them and all they have managed to do. The Spurs will go down in history as the only small market in the Stern era to win mulitple championships. The hornets will not win the le, cuz the league won't let the NO market even sniff the championship. So to all my follow spurs fans this is the end of the line and I feel good that I have been able to watch such a run and will never forget the good and bad times.
    Great Job guys.
dont the let door hit your ass on the on the way out quitter!

you're hopeless. ridiculously stupid post. WHAT BENEFIT IS IT TO THE NBA TO HAVE LAME OL' SAN ANTONIO IN THE FINALS EVERY YEAR? For one, I don't see how it's even possible to be that good to rig a whole series, let alone one game. That aside, please explain to me why David Stern would rig it so a small market, supposedly "boring" and "dirty" team could win a championship?

Odd, I keep seeing "quiters" and "cliff jumpers" and all that, but I have yet to see one person point out one thing from games 1 and 2 that would give even a glimpse of hope that the Spurs can beat this team 4 out of 5 games.

Face it, the age factor has caught up with them after 87 games. They have no energy after the first 24 minutes. Even young TP seems to be trying to rest as he brings the ball down the court in the second half.

I'm not saying it is impossible. All things are possible. But PROBABLE? I don't think so. There is a reason why when you go down 2-0, you only have a 6% chance of coming back and winning a series. Numbers just don't lie. Well, unless Enron is cooking them.

I love how ppl bring up the % chance of winning. But forget the facts that the game has changed since 30 years ago. These are the spurs, not some 8th seed. AND if you look at the % in the last 5 years, I'd say its closer to 25% a very PROBABLE chance

Hint: Take Predrag and Peterson out of the equation and it doesn't look so bad.

Our job as fans is to support them, but I absolutly believe the Spurs will bounce back and make this series. I hope the Hornets think they have it in the bag already.

The 3 teams with the most wins over the last 5-6 years all getting old and getting worse at the same time.

    Spurs
    Mavs
    Suns

The first day of the season everyone had those 3 teams as the top 3 teams in the league and now we know that all 3 have gotten older, slower and less compe ive in the matter of 1 year.

If any of these 3 teams hope to compete for a le next year they all better get younger, more athletic, quicker/faster. Other wise it will be 50 wins and early playoff exits from now on.

The Suns have been the most disappointing team durning this 5-6 year run. They made alot of mental mistakes in playoffs. I would have never imagine they would not have won atleast one championship with that team 5 years ago. They had Joe Johnson at one time too.

All the poster you were replying to was saying was that if the Spurs tie up the series, then it becomes best two of three and the Spurs need to defend their (one) home court game and win one out of two potential games in NO. He or she wasn't saying HCA would somehow switch to SA.

Yes, I honestly believe the Spurs can win the next four out of five, with the right defensive adjustments, but I doubt even those of us who think that think it will be easy. I have a lot of respect for this Hornets team and they have a great chance at putting this series away, but they have to actually do it.
