Dan Crawford will let things get physical, which usually works in the Spurs favor. But the Spurs have to make sure they are the more physical team. In Game 1 and Game 2, the Hornets were much more physical.

Hopefully Thomas will be allowed to rough up West a bit without every touch being whistled like it has been this series.

If Dan C lets 'em play then this is good news for us. As timvp stated we need to be the physical team today. Anytime we can get the efs to let us use more contact agianst is always a good sign.

A little discrete kick in the nuts would work wonders. *cp3 COUGH*
As long as they don't go pirouetting all over the court for calls again
Maybe Super Hugo will be at work again, and the hornets can actually slip on the court like that

I'm not sure what to expect of Danny Crawford any more. He's still famous around here for his "call your own fouls" statement to the captains before Game 3 of the 2003 West Finals, but I'm not sure that he actually calls games that way anymore. I once agreed with the idea that he was the best official in basketball, but I'm also not sure that's true anymore. He was once a guy who never made a momentum call -- a 50/50 call that hinged on which team had more momentum at the time. Now he seems to do that as well as taking a page from Bavetta's book in making calls (or no-calls) that seem intended to keep games closer than they should be.

I agree with timvp, though, that the onus is on the Spurs to play aggressively and physically in Game 4.

It was a joke. But the look on Michael Finley's face when Crawford said that was indicative of what ended up happening to the Mavs that night.

It was good to see Crawford's crew let the teams play a physical first half last night.

I thought Crawford called a perfect game.

He let the physicality go, but when the Hornets got chippy he reigned em in.

Crawford is good still. Agreed not the best, I still believe that to be Javie.

    Always making excuses
Who was making excuses? It was an observation, much like the one you're a pathetic little .

BTW, looks like Javie is in Cleveland for tonight's game, so we won't be seeing him in New Orleans tomorrow.

Game 5 and 6 will be Salvatore and Joey Crawford in some order. I made a thread about it, but there are only 6 crew chiefs at this level: Bavetta, Rush, Javie, D. Crawford, J. Crawford, and Salvatore. We'll see each of the 6 in this series (Game 7 will be the only repeater) and so that means we'll get Joey in one game and Salvatore in the other.

Please basketball gods, let it be Joey in Game 5. Salvatore would send Chris Paul to the line 20 times.

    P.S.

Dan Crawford looked like the same o' Dan Crawford to me. Too bad he can't ref every Spurs game . . .
