    You would think that Suns fans would find more validation of how good their team is by seeing the Spurs go all the way. If the Hornets win the series, that shows how really bad the Suns were this year.

    Can't agree - on the surface your logic is right - but the Playoffs are based on matchups. A team can win 60 games in the regular season and lose to the Bucks in first round. Just remember the Mavs - Warriors series. There are always teams who match up well against another. For instance, Washington may get beaten by the Cavs every frickin' playoffs, but if they would have faced the Celtics, it could have gone either way.
