They will get shut down by SA or whoever comes out of the East.
Wow... I'd feel so bad if I were a Jazz fan.
I really like this Jazz team, this sucks. Not to mention we'd have home court if we faced the Jazz...
The team showed great heart and they will be back next year as a legit threat again.
Shut down? No. Slowed, yes, but they're so damn talented it may not matter.
I wonder if Andrei Kirilenko's wife will let Andrei Kobe as his one free pass of the year.
Well shut down may be strong but slowed down yes. If Detroit were to make it out of the east and LA was sitting there. Bad match up for LA.
I think the Lakers have had the playoffs handed to them. They get Denver and Utah while SA gets Phoenix and New Orleans, all for getting a lucky shot somewhere and winning 1 more game than us.
Well the Lakers are gonna get alot of rest, hopefully the Game 7 Spurs/Hornets will be a rough hard battle.
Should only be a 2 day rest between game 7 and the start of the series so Lakers should have the first game fairly easily.

Their offense is great. Good passers, excellent shooters. However, they have had the benefit of playing one team that plays no defense at all (Nuggets), and another team that has no one to match up with their top two offensive options without significant doubling (Kobe or Gasol). That's why you see those shooters getting all of those wide open looks.
If SA advances they at least have people to make Kobe and Gasol work for theirs without always doubling. Duncan will also expose Gasol for the soft broad that he is (I don't know what happened to Boozer this series). I also think the NO frontline will manhandle Pau, but they also have absolutely no one for Kobe.
The Celtics and Pistons have excellent frontlines that can make Gasol work and force him to play some real defense. They also have players to make Kobe work without doubling as much. LA's best bet is to have NO advance, and the Cavs come out of the East.
No, I think we match up okay with you guys. It's Boston I think we might not be able to beat.
Jazz shoot 38% facing elimination and @home. They finally started really hustling and hitting some shots in crunch time, too late.
The better team won the series.
Poor Jerry, will he ever get a ring?
Poor Utah, will they every give up on Jerry?
And an even more effective form of contraceptive.
No bad match ups? Ok Laker fan.
Good Luck 2004.![]()
The Lakers are perhaps one of the worst teams at defending the 3 to end games. What happened in the 4th is no isolated incident, this has been happening all season with this ing team. I blame the coaching and immaturity of the Laker team. SAS would never allow that to happen. It's incredible how the Lakers are still able to win games with these kind of lapses, it's a testament to how incredible their offense really is.
I am really disappointed with Phil's coaching tonight. The game should have never been in jeopardy but Phil like an idiot did a wholesale swap of the 2nd unit to start the 4th and didn't put all the starters back in until about 7-8 minutes left in the 4th. Just irresponsible coaching to put scrubs in for that long when the Jazz are making their run. No other coach would pull that kind of in this league but Phil.
