Yup, the Lakers match up well with the Pistons...I don't worry much about them. But the Celtics, that would be difficult. But the Celtics have been sucking on the road lately so perhaps they're not invincible anymore.

Ideally for the Lakers, it would be the Pistons coming out of the East since the Pistons like to take some games off.

I think the Lakers have had the playoffs handed to them. They get Denver and Utah while SA gets Phoenix and New Orleans, all for getting a lucky shot somewhere and winning 1 more game than us.

You think you match up well with Boston? You think Gasol has an advantage over Sheed or McDyess? You do know Sheed is a supreme defender, right? As weak as Gasol is on the boards, that's not the frontline you want him to square off against.

Odom at PF doesn't create a huge mismatch against Detroit. Their bigs are also mobile.

Prince defends Kobe well. No one can stop Kobe, but I can't think of many that defend him better.

Rip is a consistent perimiter scorer.

Billups is stronger than Fisher, and is also a big game player.

You do have a stronger bench than Detroit. Not saying you can't beat them, but to say they don't match up with ya...don't know about that one.

It's probably a tougher matchup for the Lakers than Boston would be, but they have a decent chance of winning either way.

Lakers match up better with the Pistons than the Celtics. The Pistons play more of a soft jump-shooting game...the Celtics are more of a banging team and that would not go well for the Lakers.
