Yes, there is an emergency pet clinic on 410 & Perrin Beitel and another at Broadway and Loop 410. Sorry, only two I know of.
Does anyone know of a vet thats open today? We went to see ours before 10 minutes before 12 and he simply said he didn't have the time to look at him and bailed, so now we have a really sick dying dog, and I'm desperate to locate some place to help him, I don't want to just sit here and watch him die slowly. Any help appreciated. It sucks having to post something like this on a forum but I'm out of places to call.

Our vet is Fredericksburg Animal Hospital - 210-732-1981. They are very good. I don't know if they are open now but if they aren't, they have an emergency clinic which is open. You should be able to connect to it from calling that number.
Here's the info for the Perrin Beitel one:
Northeast Emergency Animal Clinic
(210) 650-3141
8365 Perrin Beitel Rd
There's an emergency clinic on Grissom near Culebra/Tezel, too.
We took ours to the Perrin-410 clinic, too. They're open 2 shifts 7 days a week, and their prices are reasonable.

I hope your dog recovers well, care to explain what happened?
Kori thats a nice avatar btw
thanks a ton guys.
well my dog was breathing real heavy and whining and hiding in corners, hes about 12 years old, his breath was real heavy and when he used the bathroom he didn't lift his leg or nothing and his ribs heaved in and out when he went. I started petting him and his eyes were rolling back into his head, his eyes were glazed over and everything so I thought he was dying.
They said he was in shock from arthritic pain in his hips. They gave him a shot and prescribed pain medication.
Thanks again for all your help guys in locating a place, the one on perrin worked out good.
Awww....poor puppy! Hope your dog is back to his old self in no time.
W-O-W !!! I love good endings! Glad to hear your old friend is going to be O.K.
Wow that sounds like it was a very scary experience, I kind of know what it is like when my small dog started to choke on a bottle cap I was panicking and I didn't know what to do but he coughed it up by himself. Hopefully your pooch recovers back to 100%
You need to learn the heimlich. My daughter did this on our cat a while back, when she/he choked on a leaf. LOL
Is it any similiar to the Human version? Because if it is I might break one of his ribs or two I have pretty big hands.
Big Hands???? I could show you a modified version...
Shaolin, glad to hear you got you dog taken care of. I hope the meds give him relief.
