I closed them and reopened again, it didn't worked.

I also restarted my PC, not to avail

Start->run->type "cmd" and press enter->type "ping www.google.com" and press enter.

Is the ping succesful? if not what does it say?

What's the error message? What does it say when it can't do the ping? (just copy/paste the whole thing)

That's very strange, because the pings prove you have internet access and your dns is also OK (you can reach the servers).

So what happens? the webpage loads but the search doesn't work or you don't even get the google webpage?

So what happens? the webpage loads but the search doesn't work or you don't even get the google webpage?

GOOGLE: I can access the main page, but when I want to search something, it doesn't work; I can access Gmail' main page too, but not the mailbox.
Oddly Google Map works well

YAHOO: I can't access it
