I hate the Lakers because we're always living in their shadow. They have so many Championships and play so well together it really annoys me. They are very sharp on offense and have seen a huge improvement in team D since the playoffs started. They have the best player in the league on their team. I'm really worried we will lose to them and I hate them for it.
I don't hate the Lakers. I know about more about them then most of their so-called fans. LL excepted because he really does know his team.
What I truly hate is that the 4-letter network dictates to us that ALL BIG-CITY teams dominate. So they tell the casual fan over and over that the Spurs are boring, look at the scores of their games. But hey 4-Letter network, that Boston-Cleveland series was HIGH SCORING right? no, but then you talk about the LeBron-Pierce thing like they are both MVPs but they aren't are they?
9 les in LA is nothing to laugh at but without Bynum, I think they are outgunned. The Bruce and Ime combo will prove to be fruitful.
dont forget tim donoghy for 3 of those seasons and robert horry for that last season... other than that yea.... you guys have really done well this decade

I love the Laker hate. I welcome it. It screams "complex" to me. I will always hold the 2001 Western Conference Finals near and dear to my heart. The helpless look on Tim Duncan's face was one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

I have to say, all kidding aside....4 les in 9 years for your team is certainly a very impressive standard. I was honestly hoping to avoid this matchup, but certainly the Lakers and their fans fear no team and will be heavily favored to advance.
To me, it will all come down to the first two games....if the Lakers are able to maintain the HCA and go up 2-0, you could take a combined all star team from the rest of all NBA teams combined and you would still not beat them.
I expect the Lakers to wax the Spurs in Game 1, it is the second game that will be the key game in the series.
I would say good luck, but you know I wouldn't mean it. I just hope the league allows the games to be decided by the players rather than using the refs to try and manufacture drama. We shall see.
