I am as much of a Spurs fan as anyone here and I don't do that. It doesn't make you more of a fan.

As much as Spurs fans hate the Lakers, they respect the out of them more than any other team. If they deny it, they are lying to themselves. They might respect the Piston fans more and all but they respect this Laker team beceause they have had the most success against them in the Duncan era than anyone else has. They are the most hated rival they have ever had. The Mavs dont even come close. Phil Sucks bumper stickers were on the the back of spurs fans vehicles. They DESPISE yet RESPECT the Lakers more than any other team.

I actually don't really hate the Lakers, but I hate how ESPN and every sports writer out there makes them the favorites....they aren't the favorites in this series. It's usually better to sweep but we'll take the series in 5.

the biggest reason for me is Kobe Bryant..

he`s probably the fakest man in sports history..he has the worst homer fans in all of sports, who constantly make unrealistic comparisons involving him(they have been for a minute now)..he throws his teammates under the bus, even though they didn`t do anything wrong..he sabotaged the Lakers in the 2004 finals..he`s an adulterer that has now gotten caught multiple times..AND worst of all, he`s an alleged rapist..

it`s sad that so many kids look up to Kobe..he`s a piece of ..I feel bad for his children, because they have no idea about their father`s past..

If you guys go to a Lakers forum and we discuss the teams we hate...we dont go attacking the players personally...that is what is classless about Spurs fans...
We might hate the team and hate how the player conducts himself on the court, i.e flops or cheap shots...but we dont attack personally.....if Kobe steps on a fly he is characterized as an animal hater...just comment on the game and show some class

They whine too much definitely, but the reason behind that is because the defense they play is too good and the old ass refs the league have can never see well enough to make the correct call.
