Definition of choke: To fail to perform effectively because of nervous agitation or tension, especially in an athletic contest: to lose one's composure and fail to perform effectively in a critical situation <had a chance to win the game but he choked

    Does that sound about right?

i like when they get all jumpy with one win.. resemblance of our 0-2 hole to the Hornets... i somehow feel more confident the more they throw this overconfident on our faces...

One win has got the Lakers thinking Championship. That's really funny. Look how giddy the Hornets were after winning the first TWO games.

By the way, calling Spurs chokers give absolutely NO CREDIT to the Lakers.

    Way to represent.

I can see why Laker fan is so stoked....they were down 20 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd and dominated the rest of the game.

Of course it helps when the Spurs are missing every open shot they throw up, turn it over like mad, and then start passing up open shots out of fear of missing them.

The Lakers did their job, they won their home game. Like Barkley says, a series doesn't really start till a team wins on the road.

I am looking forward to game 2. I picked the Spurs in 6 and I am staying with that predicition.

    GO SPURS GO

    Note: "critical situation"

    One game.

Lakers won a game they were supposed to win. The Spurs almost stole homecourt from you guys.
