Wasn't it nice of the NBA to scheduled game 7 for Monday when they could have played Sunday?

You'd complain about getting short-changed on rest, particularly considering how you guys are now admitting to being "out of gas," - a condition frequently associated with the elderly.

The Spurs will be wasting a huge opportunity if they think that way. The "Big Three" can win up to four more les if supported by some inspirational front office moves to bolster the bench. The hard part is done. It's the easier part that the Spurs need to get done this summer.
You are ing re ed if you think the "Big Three" can win up to 4 more les. It doesn't matter what moves the front office makes, they can't and won't win 4 more les. I'm not even sure they can win one more much less 4 more.

Yes because a 26 year old, a 32 year old, and a 30 year old are washed up.

The lack of penetration, reliance on the jumpshot and how ugly their shots looked were telling signs again. The challenges were mounting, factor in age, an injured Manu and lack of rest between games - it was gonna take a toll.

A home crowd should help in the energy department, the question is how long can the Spurs sustain it?

They are not a dynasty, that's for sure, repeat first then talk
i'll make you a deal. your team wins one at all, before the spurs repeat, then you can talk. until then, you have to shut your stupid mouth.

    deal?

This one day off between games is crummy. Last year against Utah, the team had a THREE day break between games 2 and 3. Also if I recall, we lost at Utah by 26 in Game 3 so cheer up folks.

at the LakerFans that think anyone here gives a what they think or that their opinion is any way respected.

You guys weren't even basketball fans the last time the Lakers made it out of the first round. You don't know .

In the future...if I want to hear the insight of a LakerFan, I'll cut a fart.

And the Hornets are better...You'd have tro be a dumbass to take the Lakers over the Hornets if you could choose one of the two teams to contend with over the next 5 years.

And any LakerFan saying Duncan is washed up needs to check Kobe's age..and he's about to be playing a lot of extra games himself...

Check my comments when we were down 0-2 to the Hornets...I had nothing but praise for them and considered them a dire threat. I gave them nothing but credit for kicking our asses. We're down 0-2 to the Lakers right now and I am telling you're not near as good as they are...you don't match up with us as well and this 0-2 record is due entirely to the Spurs age, jetlag, and the Hornets putting them through the ringer in the last round.

Even if we should lose(due to plain wearing out of the Spurs) ...you guys are gonna get ng rolled by whichever EC team you meet in the finals. Book it.

I know my team...you guys don't, this series so far is all about them and has very little to do with the Lakers. In fact based on what I've seen, the Lakers aren't even as good as I thought they were entering this series.

And don't be too surpsied if your team folds....they folded with regularity against Phoenix, the Spurs . And I hate to tell you guys this, but Pau Gasol is not the cure for folding, he makes it more likely.

Yeah, this is just a slightly better version of the Lakers team that let an Amare-less Suns team come back from 3-1 in a playoff series. Down 0-2 with the next two at home has to feel like a great opportunity to look to go up 3-2 in Game 5.

And to further prove a point, that means the Lakers were owned in three straight games by Steve Nash, Boris Diaw, Tim Thomas, Shawn Marion and Leandro Barbosa. We're not talking Team USA here, other than Nash, that's a lineup of career playoff folders. And as much as SpursTalk hates Nash, you can't really say he chokes because if Duncan doesn't hit that 3, everyone would have been talking about how Nash went into San Antonio and stole a game. He's more a victim of playing for a ty coach and in a system that is designed to fail in the playoffs. Look at the trash those Lakers were owned by.

I'll be honest, the Spurs just flat out look like they are out of gas. It's not that they aren't trying, you can see the frustration, but "it's" just not there.

I don't particularly believe that the Lakers are outplaying the Spurs, it's more like the Spurs are underplaying the Lakers.

Eventually after so many games, players and teams just wear down and run out of gas. I don''t know if this is what is happening to the Spurs, if it's just temporary or not, I know they look just completely gassed. Even should they go on to win it all this season...there's no way there going to have anything left after a summer of international ball, for next season.

If it should be over...if the Spurs are finally out of gas, at least as they are currently constructed...and let's face it, we all know the day is coming soon, then I just want take my hat off to the Spurs, to Pop, to Tim Duncan, Manu, Bruce and Parker and all the other guys, and thank them for a job well done.

I'd rather tip my hat than trash them, because they've been one of a basketball team.
The Spurs looked beat. Their body language, their emotions... it does not look like they believe they can win. The Lakers can put that dagger in their throats by coming to S.A. with a win, and finishing up the series in S.A. with another blowout. The Spurs have no clue at this point what to do with the Lakers. They have so many weapons.

Like I said..., by the time the Lakers are done with the Spurs, I'll own this site!!!!!!!

    Agree...

Their body language, their emotions... it does not look like they believe they can win.

Disagree...it does not look like they have the energy left to win. It's got literally nothing to do with belief.

Did you figure all that out on your own? I'm impressed.

WellI do agree that Lakers are easier to beat by trhe spurs then NO were.
But sometimes it is matter of timing.
If we would get LA in 2nd round it would be much different.
Just take a look how was this playoffs going on. How much more energy spurs had in Suns series.

When I was mentining the worries about spurs playing bad when the intensity of games increased, most of the fans were saying STFU no b2b games in playoffs.
I do agree there were no b2b games but the intensity increased a lot.

I was almost sure that the spurs will get rolling in the 2nd game and can win the contest, but they failed.

And I feel like them, like somebody slaped me in the face and I have no strenght to give it back.

I'm not going to get caught up in this ''which playoff opponent is better'' nonsense. Normally I'd be mainlining tequila after watching the tag team of a Game 1 collapse and a Game 2 pasting, but if that last round has taught me anything about the playoffs this year, it's all fun and games until somebody loses at home. After all, the Spurs haven't lost one of those yet, just like the Lakers haven't.

Spurs do look extremely gassed...even Pop. Which is scary. Yesterday you could just tell, the Lakers younger, fresher legs were just 1 step quicker on every single thing. There were times when 37 year old Derek Fisher was beating them down the floor for open layups.

The first two series for the Spurs were the most mentally draining series I think they've ever been a part of. These quick turnarounds probably aren't helping either.

Although I must say, God knows why Michael Finley is tired. Dude hasn't done crap since Game 1 of this postseason.

amen. and anyone saying the lakers will dominate for the next few years is kidding themselves. i don't see an overwhelming force because duncan and parker are doing their thing, there's no reason to think that gino, unhurt and rested, wouldn't be doing the same. thus, as those other young teams put it together, i think age becomes a factor for the lakers far faster than anyone thinks (kobe and odom and gasol, in particular, but that's me guessing, i haven't looked up their ages). i just think we hit a wall thanks to scheduling. give them 2 days and they wax this laker squad. aw well. it was fun while it lasted.

Fisher is 34, not 37. I am so tired of this ing and whining from Spurs fans. At this time of year, everybody is tired, everybody is hurting, you gotta play through it. If Manu wasn't hurt, the Spurs would be up 2-0 is the bull I'm hearing. Well, if he is so damn hurt, perhaps he shouldn't play. Well, if Bynum wasn't injured, I would be talking about a Lakers sweep. The Lakers know how to win on the road, don't assume just because the Spurs are going home you are gonna automatically win Games 3 & 4. A home crowd can only do so much...the players have to get it done.

Fisher is the only Laker who is over 30.
