Since 1995, the first full season I lived here. I've also been a season ticket holder for allthat time. I get criticized a lot for occasionally getting really frustrated with this team. I've quite literally paid my dues as a fan, and I believe, actually, that we will win tonight.
The Lakers are NOT as good as the Hornets. They are better than Phoenix. But they have a superb coach.
This will not be easy, and there is no guarantee we will win the series. But we are capable of it. It is a question of mental strength and poise. Accepting that there are 2 possible outcomes to any given game does not make you any less of a "true" or "real" fan. It may, however, reflect the fact that you have actually been paying atttention to these games over the last 13 years or so.
I will still be a fan after this season, win or not. The Spurs have been good for the city, and the city has embraced them. I don't expect that to change. I do expect the team personnel to change after this year though, don't you?
