We are still down 1-2, and even if we win game 4 (which is a must win for the Spurs) we still need to take a game in LA.
Having said that, great win tonight. I don't expect lamar to go 2-11 again, nor do I see Gasol shooting 7-18, but hopefully the Spurs' momentum can carry into game 4.
2 out of 3 games they've shot like that.
Wich is the anomaly?
Spurs played amazing tonight...I knew Manu would have a great game...hopefully the Lakers bounce back..I'm not counting the Spurs out yet.
Nah, we're just clowning Rocket Laker fans up in here.
we have to stay humble.... this is the most dangerous team of the playoffs... KB24 is playing the best ball of his life... one game at a time. 1.
The only person I worry about on LA is Kobe. Everything starts with him. If we can get him frustrated into taking all the shots again that is a win-win for us. The rest of those guys are freakin scrubs man!! Farmar???!! Puuulease give a freakin break!!![]()
Just because a player has a bad game, doesn't necessarily mean he will suddenly breakout the next game. It is possible for players to have back to back bad games you know. The whole "well don't count on so and so to shoot like that again" BS is getting old.
Well, if the Spurs don't win Game 4 then this game would have been for nothing..just avoiding a sweep.
That said, Spurs played great tonight with their backs against the walls. Hopefully they come out with the same energy and focus in Game 4 and Game 3 carries them to a victory next game.
I'm not getting y but I do feel we need to enjoy every win the spurs get. Nothing is ever a given in the playoffs. I'm not going to worry about game 4. I will let the spurs do that.
Pau is the one to worry about, especially when he's getting offensive rebounds and putting them back in. Lamar is a wild card and has never really played consistently throughout his entire career...he can easily take his team out of a game (especially on the road) just as easily as he can get them back in the game when he hustles and decides to play solid defense; although he can't stop a determined Tim Duncan. This was a great win to build on, but the major test obviously comes Tuesday because the young Lakers were sleep-walking through most of this game after the 1st quarter when they discovered the Spurs weren't the Nuggets.
Oh, and Brent was MARVELOUS.
Let's get like super y. Megalomaniacal. I want to see what happens.
I dont think you guys get it. The way the Spurs are going to beat the Lakers is by making Kobe think he has to do it all himself because he can't trust his teammates.
The ONE Laker the spurs have trouble guarding is Kobe. Every other Laker is an easy cover. Pop knows this. If you cant cut the head off the beast, you dismember him.
Spurs in 6.
So true! Manu had two horrendous games in a row and Timmy had two horrible first games in the NO series. Of course Timmy WAS sick - but still, having two bad games in a row is not out of the question for Gasol and Odom and Fisher.
DazedAnd fused happens.
An excellent idea. You must have gone to UTSA.
There is nothing to be y about. The series is 2-1 and your team does not have HCA.
The Spurs won a desperation game they HAD to win. The key is replicating the same effort again and again and again. It's harder to do when your an old team that only has 1 day rest between games. If the Spurs win Game 4 then I'll agree with you guys, the pressure is back on the Lakers.
Not y at all, came into this thinking we were on life support because i did not think Manu could summon it up like he did, thank god i was wrong but long way to go here
Next game will be a heartbreaker for the Spurs. Turn out the lights.
spurs fans are jaded enough to know that it ain't over til its over.
Easily the best college EVER!
Yeah. It's working already!
They look on to me
