It could be a knock on the Spurs as a team that can't decide if it's dominant or not.
After all, we have the best winning percentage of any major sports team, we have dominated the NBA since 1999, and yet, we cannot repeat.
I think what Charles is eluding to, is unlike past Dynasties, you don't know when the Spurs are over. You knew the Bulls were done in 1999. You knew the (Shaq) Lakers were done in 2005.
People keep writing the Spurs off, then they come back and win another series. And another Championship.
That's why, even if the Lakers win, it's not over for the Spurs.
To paraphrase Twain: Reports of the Spurs' death are often exaggerated.
EDIT: Just to add, I'd like to think that once history decides this Spurs Dynasty is over (hopefully, many years from now), it will get proper respect. I'm sure not everyone loved the Bird Celtic's either, esp. not Laker fans!
