Where is it? Its a mere mention on Ludden's article...maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. But what is this? Bowen or Horry hits the headlines for touching the opposing player, being branded as "DIRTY", "CHEAP SHOT"..Bull ing !
Turiaf has his second lease in his basketball career the least he can do is play clean. Tsk... him... the Lakers.. the media.
that wasn't too hard of a foul...people need to stop whining about like this.
Shut your ass up. That wasn't a hard foul...grow a pair.
cry me a ing river.
Reading comprehension.
Guy is not complaining about the foul but the apathy of the press. Or are you idiots telling me that Horry's were hard fouls indeed??
Of course, and they are considered flops.
Ask Manu about Melo and Kmart in the 05 playoffs and he'll tell you that Turiaf is a french piece of .
It's a non-story. Why report on a non-story? Hard fouls occur (or should occur) in every playoff game. I'm not sure the league needs to be pansified to the point of players complaining about good, hard playoff fouls. It's bad enough that two of Horry's fouls -- fouls that would have never gotten notice years ago -- have become stories. Let's not compound the problem with complaints about hard fouls against the Spurs.
I just laughed when Turiaf committed that foul. I think I said aloud that it might have been a bad move; the last thing the Lakers want is to really piss off Manu.
Lakers were lucky it was later in the game.
Remember when that asshat Jason Williams took a cheap shot. Manu went up to him (similar to the way he stared down Turiaf) , "why did you hit me?' Then he went on a 14 point tear or something.
Luckily, for Turiaf, the Lakers were spared.
Turiaf Asshole. I don't like that guy. Turiaf foul over Manu was very hard. I've never seen Manu in that way, he was telling some things to Turiaf. But Manu reply shooting better. So Turiaf, think about that for the next time.
FWD, That is the whole point. Why would they report on Horry's fouls? That is exactly what the guy is pointing out, and we all agree about the pansification (whatever that means) They Should Have Never Become Stories, just like this foul. Yet, we are still talking about it after one year in one case, and for the second "Big Foul" we already read even some Manu fans calling Horry dirty because the press decided to make them big stories.
Maybe in the next game Manu can respond by pecking Turiaf with his prodigious Beak. That thing has to be a foot long, WTF is that?
I am sure it makes you horny
Ok..as a Fakers fan you cannot clown on anyone. your team is by far the ugliest in the NBA.. farmar looks like he should be in lord of the rings with those ears, Gasol looks like a neanderthal and turiaf looks like a yetti.
i can't help but agree on this... after watching old school NBA games where punches flew all over and Fouls were MUCH harder than what they are right now, all this crappery is foolish!![]()
And I can't even identify what Koby looks like - some alien, mutant beaver or something. His eyes are the strangest, coldest in the universe.
It was a foul....didn't seem TOO malicious to me
That's nothing compared to fouls by Danny Fortson in 2005.
The press will blowup whatever stories it wishes to blow up. I've stopped expecting consistency from the media and while I didn't understand the outrage over Horry's foul on West in the New Orleans series -- are poor back screens really a story? -- I'm content with letting this story go. Had Manu been injured by Turiaf's foul, we would undoubtedly be reading more about it. Manu wasn't hurt and nobody got ejected or suspended; thus, it's a non-story.
Wasn't a really hard foul - he was probably frustrated and tried to send a message with the layups. No one is making an issue out of it.
The only interesting thing was the Manu actually started at him and said something maybe even in Spanish who knows he Turiaf wasnt expecting that - he felt really ackward. Then when they were both in the paint waiting for some FTs, they started talking and thought Manu was actually claiming his case to him. By the way they acted I could say Manu was saying something like "you shouldnt have hit me, whatever" and Turiaf was saying something like "nonsense you are making a big deal out of it." Then Pop called him in to the bench and took him out of the game for good.
that was barely a foul. players these days throw their arms up and make it look like the defender murdered them (i know, kobe does this every freakin game) and make it look worse than it is. even if it was a hard foul, if anyone deserves a hard foul its manu. he has got to be the biggest flopper in the league's history. Manu is a great player and a huuuuuge compe or but even you spurs fans have to agree with that.
Turiaf is a old school player. hes a hustle and defense guy who gets garbage points and key blocks in games. old school players play more physical as well. if you think turiaf is dirty try playing garnett next round if you guys get passed the lakers. the op might just call murder. back to turiaf, as you can tell from my sn im a huge turiaf fan. him coming back from open heart surgery, and playing 110% every single night is a sight to see. if anything spurs fans should appreciate that kind of player (a la bowen, malik rose, sean E, rodman, avery johnson, etc)
